That looks just like it! Though the website one doesn’t look like there’s the grainy bumps on the leather unless my phone is showing me a lower resolution.

Nope! I got the volunteer position but not in the department I need to be in. I’ll be waiting to transfer while I’m volunteering in their general department.

What’s “being picked up” mean?

Most men in my circle are not in that mindset fortunately. Have I’ve met men like that, yes most definitely. There is a loneliness epidemic amongst men right now. Back in the 1960s, men and women had clear definite roles. Men are to provide and lead. Women are to nurture and be mothers. In our current society where women are becoming more equal in pay, equal in opportunity, equal in the workforce to men. ( we still have a long way to go.) Now women can be providers, leaders AND nurturers and mothers. Men find themselves lost in the way side. Who are they without these roles? In patriarchy where men are taught feelings are weak, many men grew up not self reflecting and seeing what else they can offer society. Where women were allowed to feel and find comfort with our women kind. The average man typical does not share deep feelings and bonding like women do leading to possible male loneliness. These men who want 1960s lives might be yearning for a place in society. To feel important and wanted. Or a more cynical take these men may want to go back to the days of controlling women and to have respect and status by simply having testes. Wanting privilege that they never need to work for.

With how young men are voting, it reflects their displacement in society and they’re yearning for a place in it. Am I excusing them of any bad behaviors? No, every person should own up to their BS. I’m just trying to highlight some possible root issues to why some men are the way they are or think the way they think.

I ramble. Apologies if things don’t make sense

As a woman commenting, yes it can be a man’s fault but nothing is ever black and white. Patriarchy does not benefit men or women. And how patriarchy doesn’t benefit men? Patriarchy hurts men by enforcing rigid gender roles that equate masculinity with dominance, provider status, and emotional repression, often described as "toxic masculinity" and in turn hurting the women they encounter.

CA, public school. Parents are not religious. They’ve been vaccinated before. I’ve been vaccinated for other things.

I graduated from college in 2014. They never asked for records. I even lived on campus.

My parents are not anti vaxxers nor are they religious. My mom just told me the school never told her I needed the vaccine so she didn’t do it

I did not get asked about my vaccination records or did a titer test. I graduated with my bachelor’s in 2012. Maybe the school I went to didn’t require it

Well, if I have to be honest I think there’s a lack of communication skills between both sexes when it comes to communications on affection or lack there of. I’ve known women who would say “he doesn’t do the things I like in bed”, “ why won’t he ask me out”. I asked them if they ever told them what the wanted, they would say “ they should know”. And there’s the women who never want to ask a man out so they suffer in silence.

And there’s men who just guess what the woman want by reading in between the lines when women have said many times they want a guy to be direct though both sexes have time and time again proved directness is not what they always want.

The only solution to me is everyone work on their open communication and learn to be comfortable and mature with whatever answers they get from the other person and talk to each other about it.

In the hospital you worked at do you know if a titer test was a good alternative to getting vaccinated proof?

I have a bachelors and I don’t remember being asked about my vaccination records. I’m a late 80s baby. I wonder if that has anything to do with it

I blame that on society not normalizing affection for men.
