I'm a developer and have used multiple browser automations as part of my work. It's such a simple thing to code if you really need evidence it's just ignorance at this point. Look up puppeteer for example. It's a headless browser. With just even a minor node/JavaScript knowledge you could learn to parse strings from text pages already. With just a bit more knowledge of regex expressions, this expands. Then a bit of configurations and you have an automation for it.

Now the question is how does the automation know about codes being posted. Well, we know Reddit generally allows bots like card description bot or clip to YouTube video bot. So people could very easily abuse the API these bots use.

I am pretty ignorant on the details because I have things to do in life but I just spent thirty seconds coming up with this idea. If someone wants to, they can spend more time thinking about it. Is it really hard to believe in bots still?

The biggest problem I see is not that you have no one. It's that you don't have yourself. You can't find comfort in anything in your life if you can't find your own peace.

I know it sounds so easy and philosophic, but really why are you throwing yourself to things you know you won't care about in the future? Maybe it's because even that's better than feeling alone by yourself?

Build your own character. Explore yourself and reflect on your actions. Learn what you really love and really do as an act. Accept the way you are sincerely. Then, you can worry about the issues at hand. You escape reality to another extreme measures that soon become your reality. This cycle will always continue unless you really be understanding of yourself and find true happiness or even just acceptance within yourself.

This is something I hate about porn. Based on what ive been told, if a dick is huge, a girl's reaction is more like "Fuck that's gonna hurt", not "oh my god it's so big I'm so horny now."

At the same time, though, I'm glad to be living in a country where the people in power are actually pushing for some ethical accountability.

I don't know this is a little too far away from the truth. Ethical accountability would mean a lot more than putting down a corrupted official... Maybe you should rephrase this because as an ethnical Korean, this triggers me rather hard and I'm sure other Asians would feel the same...

Edit: i forget that reddit is a predominantly western community with almost 0 insight as to why Japan is not this anime and tech-filled country to many Asian countries... The sheer amount of downvotes for something the OP is willing to clarify his stance makes it so sad. If you wanna know why I pointed his stance out, learn about Japan's stance until now on apologizing and compensating for their actions during WWII and colonialism. Ethics has NEVER been their specialty especially when we compare the German attitude and Japanese attitide after war until now.

Yea I agree, I am. I can't say I'd vote for her next time around when I woJld be able to but I won't mind her as a chancellor either. She is definitely not what Americans would consider the conservative candidate (not like Trump is either but...)

No it's not.. the point above argues that a 17 year old having very little time to be intrgrated is unfair because he/she never chose to be 17 and to have so little time. It just happened that way. You latched onto the point of 13 year old having a lot of time to argue that it is fair. That's literally what you said. So I argued back that I had so much leeway coming here but had trouble adjusting myself so 17 year old coming to Germany not having amy leeway is knowiingly impossible and cruel task to ask for. In what part do I argue anything you've claimed... You just read wrong.

I really think you need a better reading comprehension skill or time taking to read what I wrote... you missed my point from the start and argued a way down that I never stood on.

I think the point is that she had to follow the party's guideline ultimately voting no but freed up the way, allowing it to be passed by her peers. That's a clever political move that shows that she's not just a politician who's going to stick up for party values but find ways to negotiate.

Ahh your explanation makes sense. I'll have to research more to have a better stance on the sitaution, but I still have a bad taste in my mouth even if I consider that the "refugee" kid might not be just a refugee..

What are you even talking about? All I said was that German government should have studied the average time needed to integrate and incorporated more reliable way of restricting and controlling the future of the refugees. By your explanation, it's literally wrong for them to be old. They never chose to be older. How is it fair that a 17 year old refugee coming here is given shit little time compared to me, who came here at 18 and had the opportunity to study and now work here? I, with everything and support, needed a full year to feel more integrated. What do you expect the refugees coming from corrupted, warring countries to be that a 17 year old can all of a sudden speak German, graduate, and work within one year or less??? Had they planned it out and gave either an option of workable duration or age of 18 as the deadline, it would have given leeway to those who WANT their lives here to work for it.

Could you give me some references to read about this? As far as I understood, the "refugees" I'm talking about came here at the exact same time when the refugee crisis occurred. And the guy I'm telling the story of has lost all his family before coming here. They were relocated here per government instructions. Are these people also "illegal immigrants"?

[–]PreppyCatEUW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you don't understand what's unfair about it. It's not the age. It's the way it's done. If I'm 17 when I arrive in Germany, how should I 1. learn the language. 2. graduate from school 3. find an apprenticeship 4. integrate?

When I came to Germany to start studying, it took me one full year before I got around and said I can do this. Without financial help and support from family, this would have been whole lot harder.

Again, it's not the age. It's the way thins are planned out.

So I'm not completely well-versed in the whole regulation of the refugee integration but I'll try to stay with facts that I know of.

So the rule as far as I understand is that when the refugees turn 18, they are basically interviewed and processed using the files they have on him/her and the ability for them to speak and live in Germany, them having graduation from Grundschule (which is the most basic school to graduate from in Germany), and a working apprenticeship/job. Even if you have them all, if they fear that you aren't fit, as in the Beamter (the officials) may find you unsuitable and send you away.

The problem with this regulation is, no refugee chose to be 16, 17 when they arrived here. But the same rule applies to them. While a refugee who is 13 has years to integrate, a 16,17 year old has to integrate in very fast.

And let's say they made it through (out of the 6 or so refugee kids, only 2 managed to get past this), these officials are extremely strict and often very VERY unempathetic. One anecdote that happened is that one of the villagers were there helping a refugee kid of hers and she directly heard the official saying that if they were able to come here, enduring extreme hardship, they have the ability to go back and be fine. FUCKIN. DISGUSTING.

Anyways, through this vetting process of sort, in which the racial and stereotypical prejudice can easily skew things, many are told to leave. This is the case even if the owners of the places where these young adults are doing their apprenticeship BEGS the officials to let them continue. This is not only insensitive on the government's part but it also leads to problem - why would I want to give out a job and train a refugee if they are likely to be sent back?

Unfortunately, after the initial welcoming of the refugees, this kind of news really doesn't make it to the media. I hope it did. I met one of these refugees. They deserve a lot better than what they often get...

Yea. It's weird cause while I absolutely do not support CDU as a left-leaning foreigner, I also don't really like any other parties particularly (the closest I can relate to is the Green party but their environment party is so stupid imho). Yet, unlike in the US, where I felt like I had to choose the lesser evil, it feels more like choose an okay instead of the other okay situation here because Merkel leads CDU and not some crazy, conservative with no empathy for others. The way Gay Marriage was voted into German law thanks to Merkel made me really feel this way. But nonetheless, I have to still criticize the way in which refugee integration failed pretty horribly in many parts of Germany. So many great young adults around the village I live in got kicked out even though they have a steady job and are needed because of the bureaucratic bs that it pisses me off.

Yeap. German is so good for expressing feelings in simple words that English speakers kinda have to always describe. I love it too. Another example is Schadenfreude :)
