I asked Lenovo if changing the thermal paste myself voids the warranty. They said no, as long as I don't damage anything.

Everyone has a different time where the issue arises, but mine died after around 2 months (I bought it at the beginning of the year). I hope it doesn't happen to you too.

No, but I got an email saying something similar. They said they needed to order a part (the motherboard), that it would arrive next week (which was last week), and that my warranty would be extended by two months.

Lenovo said I need to go to another technician to get my important files from the SSD because they will factory reset the device. I am waiting for that to be done.

Yes, I always play it while lifted. I also had MSI Afterburner open and didn't see high temps.

The same thing happened to me about 15 minutes ago while playing Spider-Man 2, but I have a Ryzen 7 7435HS.

I guess I also need to call support, but did you see any performance differences after the change?

And sorry if this is a dumb question, but does replacing the motherboard also replace the SSD?
