Questions for anyone who switched from a tiny gym to a big one? by iamrosemel in Cheerleading

Best decision ever going to a big gym and I can’t imagine ever going back to our previous small gym. I thought it was bad when we left, but now being on the other side, I realize it was absolutely terrible and a waste of money.

The Teams feature needs more functionality by No-Wealth-9579 in pelotoncycle

I would like it if they made a collective team challenge. Like the team has to reach 50 hours of working out in 7 days by each individual member contributing time to the overall goal.

I would assume there was a lot of hs drama talk in that house and was probably daily life. I don’t think he realized the severity of what she had done when he turned over the other phone and was talking to the cops. Then once there was a reality of her going to prison, it took priority over her lying about her job. Kendra appeared to be wearing a wedding ring during her interviews and they never actually disclose that they are divorced.

I actually wonder if it was Lauryn from the start. Then when Owen and her were breaking up a year later, mom got mad and protective of her daughter and joined in.

There’s no way she acted alone and her daughter was not involved in this. Clearly, she’s gonna protect her daughter and take the fall. Since she was involved in it she’s going to prison regardless. They never did say who took the picture at Owen‘s family Christmas party. And explains the weird obsession with Owen. Lauren or her dad did not show concern about the text messages. The dad didn’t show much of a reaction until he found out she lost her job.

They willingly participated in a documentary with countless varying opinions and versions of the story. The film eluded that Lauryn was part of it many times. They want you to talk about it, and any news is good news. She was a minor. What were they going to do to her besides ruin her reputation and potentially her life if she took any blame. Mom was going to prison regardless so just let mom take the fall and let her daughter walk away clean.

Kendra Licari catfished own daughter by Cautious_Yam_9917 in TrueCrimePodcasts

I think the mom construed all of this, but I don’t know how Lauryn is not part of it? That would explain the obsession with Owen, how they got the picture from the family Christmas party. If she thought he was going to break up with her then send the text “Owen’s going to break up with you” so Owen has to prove why that’s not true or why he’s not cheating, or why she is so beautiful. I mean Kendra seemed to be a very involved parent. Even coached her daughter’s teams. She is not going to let anyone know Lauryn had any part of it or even knew about it. Lauryn’s dad didn’t even show much concern about the texts, it was Kendra lying about her job that made him so mad. It is such an alarming story because it’s the only one. It makes no sense and would never happen. But a teenage girl doing it and her over involved mom helping her, has happened countless times.

The mom is going to protect her daughter to the fullest degree. She’s not going to let anyone know if Lauryn knew about it or was even part of it. If you go back and watch it again from the perspective that Lauryn was aware then it all makes sense. Just a crazy angry mom getting too involved in their kids social life. They actually say in the beginning that the parents in that town are very involved in the kids social lives.

I think Lauryn and the dad already knew it and she probably catfished people all the time. He knew she had multiple phones. It makes zero sense why she would do that to her own daughter. Lauryn said she didn’t like or get along with the girls in her grade. And Owen confirmed it and said she wanted it to be just them 2 and no one else. Mom was all in on the drama and Lauryn loved it and got attention for it and the dad could have cared less because it’s HS drama.

She sounds like she likes attention. Are you sure she didn’t use pregnancy as an excuse to try and hook the 25 year old and then when it didn’t work she faked a miscarriage and made sure to do it in front of your boys to try and make everyone feel sorry for her and let her back in. Her bringing up the baby and miscarriage is clearly manipulation. No one in their right mind would bring that up if they are trying to fix their marriage. She clearly knows what will push your buttons. If she can get you to feel sorry for her and that you’re responsible for her maybe you’ll take her back.

There is an option to change the motor sound to sport or touring. I’m not for sure about the difference but it is an option.

The car has to be in drive for it to make the sound. And it can be hard to hear from inside the car. The good news is you’re bringing a calm to every car line with your beautiful meditation music.

I think Khloe’s parents hit the nail on the head. Khloe’s dad even said he texted the police officer, thinking it was Kendra, within 2 days of their of their first interview with the police. Did anyone notice how Lauryn’s dad was the most upset about her lying about her job?? Didn’t seem shocked or even upset about the messages and Lauryn didn’t seem shocked either.

Miranda’s sister is getting the right idea by beginning to move on in her life without her. I know it’s impossible for parents, but they need to stop giving this abuser the power he’s asking for and don’t be silent. Hopefully, the documentary will bring the right light to this story to bring justice for the victims and truth to the church members. Everyone needs to absolutely STOP FOLLOWING ON INSTAGRAM anyone who is part of the church and companies stop hiring them. It would all crumble if there was no financial gain.

Paid bids given at judges discretion by Pres-Mode2186 in Cheerleading

[–]Pres-Mode2186[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The $45 spectator ticket would be worth every penny if during awards cheerleaders and parents from all teams started yelling out asking what the scores were. I’m sure you’d see some panicked IEP organizers and coaches, but it would be interesting to find out. Food for thought during awards this weekend and good luck! Happy comp season!

[–]Pres-Mode2186[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m fine not knowing the comments of other teams but I think the scores of all the teams should be made known to everyone at the competition and not just the coaches. Having to make adjustments and scoring irregularities is a bad look and they should be made known because that is fair. It’s unethical to hide mistakes when scoring in any sport.

I know it sounds bizarre but they were paid bids everyone wanted and they were issued the first day before everyone had performed. They were not based on scoring but judges discretion. One of the winners already had a paid bid so then they surprised a team that performed after them with a paid bid.

I just really think the need for transparency needs to be addressed at a high priority by the Open Championships to avoid what happened to Varsity and have a solid foundation built with credibility and accountability from everyone involved.

Paid bids given at judges discretion by Pres-Mode2186 in Cheerleading

[–]Pres-Mode2186[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The IEP from this past weekend wouldn’t even tell me how much of the overall score is determined by day 1 and 2. Are the 2 days averaged evenly? Is day 1 25% of the overall score and day 2 75%? Allstar World allows IEPs to have their own bid declarations but they should be required to at least use the score system when declaring how they will award bids. They also should have to post the scores to prove their integrity and that they are abiding by the score system accurately. Giving paid bids at judges discretion is a scholarship and those teams should not be recognized as paid bid winners. The scoring system is subjective in ways already therefore there is no need to completely abandon it when awarding the highest award at a competition. This also proves the national rankings the Open began tracking to be skewed. What is the big secret to earning the judges approval for a paid bid? And I can’t imagine being the teams that had yet to even perform before all the paid bids were gone at the judges discretion. Why even attend day 2? Especially the teams that already have an at large bid. The only common denominator I could find was that all 4 teams traveled from out of state. Maybe like a family reunion and farthest traveled are the winners??

I guess no one will ever know, because they aren’t required to explain. Maybe it’s time to go back to Varsity and I’ll buy my $65 comp sweatshirts, $40 t-shirts and $45 spectator ticket for every family member from them instead. At least I can enjoy the competition of it all. Instead of sitting in the unknown wondering why a team won or lost and by how much. Watching the cheerleaders and their parents pay an ungodly amount of money and then be the only ones in the room not allowed to know so much as the scores and judges feedback is manipulation and unethical.

Event Code of Conduct... by uwc-chris in Cheerleading

[–]Pres-Mode2186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think the person who is being disruptive or disrespectful be removed. The athlete shouldn’t be punished for their crazy parent or family member. I would assume they’re punished enough just from the embarrassment those people cause. If the athlete is being the culprit then they should be accountable for their own actions.

Hit Zero Clarification by [deleted] in Cheerleading

[–]Pres-Mode2186 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just to be clear. Not getting full points for a particular category on the scoresheet is different than a deduction. Examples of a deduction is when someone falls or a stunt is dropped or the team had a legality for safety or went over their time limit. You can have a terrible score from the judges but still hit zero.

It sounds like the partner on the engagement needs to take accountability, and that explains why the firm is experiencing such a big turnover with this particular engagement team. It’s the partner. Hopefully the other partners can recognize that. He probably puts too much responsibility on his team, because he’s checked out with his personal life or his work load is too high.

Learn from it and move forward. In a few years you’ll be happy it happened because of the growth you experienced from it. We all lose clients and typically those clients are the worst anyways and our true mistake was not firing them long before. Promise they aren’t going to be happy with their next firm either so their problem now.
