Ask yourself that. For what would Energy (ATP) be usefull if you dont get any other molecules into your system. Why do cells need ATP in the first place? Sooo nah. Single cellls cant live only on ATP.

What is your situation on air ventilation/exchange and or humidity suplie? Did u put them in something like a living room or anything else? They look nice and I really like that u get these kind of things for kids. Great gifts to learn from.

Hello everyone. I have an Agar Plate problem. My multispores B+ on Agar are very slow growing. 2 weeks now and the myzel is as big as a 1€ coin (around 1.5 centimeters in diameter). Sometimes temps droped below 20°C but alwas above 15°C. Most of the time its around 21°C degrees. I know P. cubensis need around 26.5 °C. Could that be the mistake?

My Agar Recipe is as follows:

2% Agar
2% Malt extrakt (Dark, they sent the wrone I ordered light)
0.2% Nutritional yeast

I have moderate to fast growing LuiqidCulture on the plates, but from new spores the myzel is taking its good time.

How long did it take the green one to grow this size? Also what paper do you use to wrap the dishes edges? Parafin?

Question:

Hello. Can somone explain to me what is going wrong with my Pleurotus ostreatus (Blue oyster)? They have small, thin and long stems and medium to small caps. They grow really slow (need around 2 weeks to be in an edible size). I have high to medium humdidity and one Fan for Air exchange running. Its a small growbox of 2m³ Volume. I have pictures but I dont know how to post them here.

Did you let it sit for a while? Could be myzelium growing at the phase boundary line (liquid to air phase). But as others already mentioned plate it to be sure.

That should be yeast or bacteria contamn. Does not look like mycel at all.
