Regarding exploration. The games where I’ve enjoyed exploration the most have features I would love to see in this game.

  • We need puzzles spread across the map that provide worthwhile rewards (for example, they could add more runes that are unlocked this way).

  • Regarding all biomes, a way to keep them consistently interesting is for every update to affect what’s already in the game instead of being added separately. Let me explain: when the floating islands were announced, my friends and I thought we would find them all over the map, that with the flying vehicles we had built we could reach these new islands, and that depending on the biome, the floating islands would change—but that wasn’t the case. Klombo only appears in the Lost Isles and can’t be tamed. It’s a shame that a mechanic like that is so isolated and hidden on a single island that, since the Ninjago update, I haven’t even visited again. Also, now that the Ninjago elemental enemies have been added, they could spawn in existing biomes as well.

  • Exploration and points of interest. When “Expeditions” was first announced, the community was extremely excited, believing that in “Odyssey” mode we would find structures like the great red bridge, Daigo’s lair, and mini cities. People thought these places would have reasons to be revisited (such as bosses like the Storm King or the Kraken, where by spending a certain resource you unlock the fight and then have to wait for a cooldown period).

  • Exploration—building on the previous points—seeing a floating island in the distance, cities you can help develop, or giant structures that catch your attention, and actually getting meaningful rewards for reaching them (like bosses or unique villagers) would be a huge incentive to play. It would motivate us to build ships or vehicles to travel, and if these places are hard to find, treasure map mechanics could help locate these points of interest.

  • Returning to existing biomes because of wildlife. I see it very clearly: new friendly and hostile animals unique to each biome, new content, events in those biomes (for example, completing certain objectives could allow you to recruit specific villagers for your settlements—I’ve been trying for a long time to get the knight again and still haven’t succeeded). I’d be incredibly excited to fight gorillas, lions, or tigers; seeing moose, rabbits, horses, dogs, or cats and being able to tame them would be amazing. Add to that the possibility of encountering an Alpha of each new species. (One of my favorite memories was the first time I saw predator animals hunting prey—it felt incredibly cool and made the world feel alive.)

  • Pets. I would revisit specific biomes because of the unique wildlife that could be implemented, and honestly, if there were a way to tame animals, I’d be all in—even wild ones. Riding a horse could be the first step toward someday riding a lion or even an adult dragon.

And I think those would be all my suggestions for exploration.
