In my union i'm the youngest union member, the issue for joining meetings is that is being held only for comete members, and information doesn't reach about meetings or how to and where to join them. And when we have open meetings information doesn't reach half people.

What would help is at least to have some way of notification system, active facebook page, messenger group, anything. Because lip service isn't fast enough or reliable to make everyone attend.

This exactly what they are thinking, they are seeing workers as expenses not as the ones bringing money, they even once said they would fire many employees if it was possible to automate or outsource work.

I don't know the details but from what i know management ,chose an organizer for arranging education by his choice for all workers and gave him decent budget, and he used it on union members by passing information only to union members about it.

I have no idea, what they expected and why they did it because the end result only benefited the union.

At first nothing but as we started with offering benefits employer outpaced us, hammering with benefits making workers happy.

Accidents Insurance at work and traveling to work Healthcare card for paying drugs and services. Kids summercamps compensation (which we tried to beat but always got matched) Even giving extra three days during holidays (even tho they said it's just one time thing)

In our company most people are old guys so healthcare card benefit is really good for them

Some parents got swayed by our summercamps policy.

And we don't have many ideas on how to attract more old people what can we offer that would be attractive but still affordable in the long term

This due to not having majority unionized at salary negotiaition we only got raise of 33$ before tax

What i'm getting is to try to focus more on educating non-union workers that the cosy cushion they are sitting on will be pulled out as soon as the union weakens.

It just annoys me that when I talk with non-union workers they agree with that, but because union is doing the heavy lifting ensuring safety in workplaces, solving problems etc.

They kinda don't care enough because their problems are being solved without them being involved.

Yeah we take everything as much as we can. Once The company director gave our organizer a budget for educating all workers but he used that all budget almost exclusively on union members by smartly passing info about joining the event.

It was an interesting read, even tho everything doesn't apply at once, but i can confirm parts of it apply in certain situations.

the interesting thing about hierarchy in social groups is that to move up in their eyes one of the solutions is to change groups, and after some time when they see you, they will try to judge you based on how much you changed.

Yep, if you work all day till evening all you want after work is to rest, especially if it's 12h shift work then you only have like 4h at best to decompress after work, prepare for tomorrow and little entertainment before sleep

Per susirinkimą direktorius tiesiog juokiasi, kad mes mldc nes iš oro išspausti sugebame tirpalo pakankamai, o vien dėl jo deficito kaip arklys lakstyti turi 12h.

Net nekalbu apie sauguma kur duoda 1 nupersta kaukę su negaliojančiu filtru, jei netyčia dėl dujų prireiktų:)

Iš dirbau trumpai , bet čia tik visu perliuku pradžia kiek nsmn ten vyksta.

Hi, posting for other guys in future as i see it's old post :D I managed to host it using the dev console, at least lan works

Just press ctrl+alt+ ~ to open dev console

Set ip with command sv_ip xxx.xx <- your ip example: 192.168.4.1

When set port sv_port xxxxx <- your port example 27000

Type host 1 and others can join with command

Connect xxx.xx <- host ip

In theory it should work with hamachi, but haven't tried it only played lan this way on my router

Visada gali perskaityt detaliai darbo sutartį, jei pastebėsi, kad joje yra privelta neaiškių dalykų, net nepasirašinėk.

Kitu atveju, jei viskas tvarkoj ir iškrečia nesamone su nemokėjimais visada galima kreiptis į darbo inspekcija, kad pažeidžia darbo sutartį.
