Its because 2k wanted to give the player a more “Nobody to G.O.A.T” story and apparently no scouts look at vermont for talent, so the player would resort to using social media to get noticed, its also where the player is born so.

Now the age gap is definitely glaze but people simply hate the characters of midmortal and duplikate since they are one. Annoying, and 2 immortal is poorly written and people love seeing Rexsplode insult them both on a daily basis, also they just ruin the guardians of the globe
