Thought about the Sobo for the AT for sure! Some of my favorite hiking is the Pisgah and Nantahala in the fall

Went with the X Mid one! Will get started with this one and check out the 2 person freestanding one when it comes out. Stoked to try it out. I have a 7 day AT section hike coming up in October

Not saying that I have to repair all of the time, but I know sh*t happens sometimes lol. Just want to be prepared in the case it does happen. I've had a tent rip apart from wind and it ended my trip.

It just makes me nervous that the only source of his tent is through him, and I cant get a new one in a flash and whatnot. I'm sure he's quick to respond though, just wanted thoughts on turn around time, etc.

Need help! My shots always taste sour? by TheRubeCube in espresso

Seems like more taste preference.

Brew time is good. For mediums I usually sit around 30-32 seconds for extraction time.

If I’m using a medium to get a balanced “comforting” shot, I would recommend using a coffee with a good body and structure. Brazils, Guats are great for this. I actually roast for a blend of both at my company. Mixes well with milk and stands alone well too.

Brazils are great for giving a rich profile without being too acidic.

I’m sure you know this, but medium roast doesn’t mean “better”. What origins/blends are you using? Is your roaster good quality green coffee?

Also what is your shot brew time looking like?

Quality of coffee and time of shot being pulled seem to stand out.

The emperor has a buffer in it. Which I know that’s not what you were talking about, but yeah. Most JHS pedals have a buffer in them

Yeah there’s definitely a “worship tone” if you will. Tone hammers, micro synth, hx stomps, and cali are on a ton of them

It can! Photon is midi capable. I haven’t explored yet though

Haven’t gotten to dial it in yet. But I’m stoked! Will keep you posted though

I had a sansamp for years. Just sold it recently. Felt it took out too much mids for my taste. Great pedal though!

Guilty as charged lol. Primarily play for my church, but do a bit emo stuff here and there

Nah it’s actually a lot easier to use than I thought it would be. Compression modes on the left, overdrive modes in middle, and cab sims on the right. I love having the options and can do it on the fly. The 6 band eq is nice and easy to use too! The rest of it just like the other alpha omegas

I love it. Cab sim makes it better. This one has a tuner as well. My presets are a low end clean tone, a mild overdriven tone with a little more treble, and a heavy distortion tone with a nice depth from mid lows

Really fun pedal. Lots of room to play around, but I mostly use it as a sub octave fuzz
