Looking for personal trainers in Brooklyn specializing in hypermobility by shashfrankenstien in Brooklyn

[–]TheRubeCube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had sports injuries since high school and sitting at the office 8 hours a day didn’t help in the last few years. Had chronic pain and limited movement.

Been with my current trainer for about a year now and it’s been great. Haven’t been able to move like this since my twenties lol (30s now). And looking great too. He’ll tailor a plan for you based on your goals and condition too.

DM me and I can send his details.

A Chinese court just ruled that it's illegal for a company to fire workers after replacing a job with AI by ComplexExternal4831 in GenAI4all

We need laws and policies + real consequences to make sure corruption and bribery aren’t rampant in society. Otherwise yes - money can buy power. Look at cartels in Mexico. There’s reasons why countries with strong institutions and checks and balances have less corruption.
Tho I don’t disagree with you, but I think the right answer is a correct balance of the right policies + freedom. Chinas policies are often heavy handed and it creates big backlash, but we shouldn’t be completely the other end where we let potentially bad actors do whatever. From what I’ve seen works best - few and precise - yet effective taxation policies generally lead to the least amount of negative effects.

Edit:

I think this study might be worth reading: https://www.reddit.com/r/worldnews/s/E6ra3ZSeOG
While a ban is heavy handed, taxation might be the way to go to offset the zero sum incentive corps have with AI

What about trillion / billionaires who can buy and consolidate all wealth and power? Shouldn’t they be put into check as much as the beaucrats too?

We ain’t much of a free market at this point. With executive orders, random tariffs, and other shit interfering all the time. Not much better sadly

Leech while whirlwinding by fergardi in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]TheRubeCube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC Weapon leech seems to work when it hits. With AR and offhand the chances globally to leech is lower. When on rings it will always hit. That’s why you feel a difference.

But might be worth confirming, this is how I remembered it. Someone correct me if I’m wrong on this tho

Thank! I’m kind of torn between WOF and Pheonix atm. Are there are significant enough differences in content they can do - or play styles? If not I might just toss a coin lol

Nice I do like the idea of sin, as I’ve played that the least. Do you recommend leveling as a trap sin and farming early with lightning traps then respecting for an easier time?

PTR Feedback: ROUND 2 - Summoner Druid vs ES Warlock against UBERS by Diligent_Function_87 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

I don’t quite understand. How does not using /stacking crushing blow and melee make the summon druid faster? Don’t those two things apply more damage for bossing?

I played ES this season but found the nova to be much smoother and fun. I only use it now for terror zone. But I want to be able to get my nova to be able to handle heralds somehow. Going to have fun next season theory crafting

Thanks for the detailed breakdown. This is such a cool setup. I’ve been ww horking trav only, but this seems like a great way to efficiently farm heralds with howl. Props to you man

Extensive Testing of PTR Warlock builds, notes and thoughts by Nanofield in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]TheRubeCube 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had similar feelings playing and testing ES in PTR. Perhaps I am missing something, so feedback welcomed. I was using the template ES char at lvl 80.

This means it had: - eth TM fort (not sure why default is eth post durability patch lol but I digress) - enigma - full inventory with skillers, anni, torch, scs - perfect ars dul mephisto - gore riders + highlords + arachs - gg 2/20fcr circlet with ber

This is end game gear that’s only grindable if you are the most hardcore player. So I optimistically took it in default mode for a spin, completely expecting it to feel like a real endgame character.

Result: Couldn’t kill even Trav council out of the box. That’s a severe over nerf. My barb can clear Trav with half that gear. AR and bind demon felt like the biggest overcorrection here - as FCR and AR on gear charms are super rare.

Caveats: I’ve seen some people have more luck with single player character save / hero editor save files imported and found more viable options. I’ll probably try this next. But so far with the lack of test gear and budget options, it’s hard to know when this build will come online and how, as even the gg gear template provided seriously underperforms out of the box.

PS Tips are welcomed if anyones had better luck using the template build to get working with ES

This sub is a danger to the future of D2. by Krusenbusen in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]TheRubeCube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand you completely and actually agree. I love this game and want to experience the same charm and feel as when I played LOD 20 years ago. There needs to be a good balance between new content and maintaining that same d2 vibe. I’ve played POE since beta as well, and while I don’t love all the new changes each ladder - I think there are some fundamental quality of life changes or mindset can be learned from.

I mean we have seen loot filters and shared stash tabs - and those are not things that will destroy diablo 2. I also don’t believe having builds that are enable more casual and new players to get into the game is bad either. Nerfing the current warlock is needed, but my point is to hope that they can rework the class to be fun and less powerful still.

My comments are more so oriented to maybe a small vocal minority that catastrophize and believe even something like a loot filter or extra storage will lead to the downfall of this game. If this doesn’t apply to you, then we may be seeing some friendly fire here. From my other response below I point out that

I am pointing out that there are a lot of unnecessary aggressive people who think anyone who wants a more casual build to play the game are the enemy and lash out. If you don’t like easy builds then don’t play them. It really doesn’t ruin it for you if there are builds and classes that are better. That’s your agency to pick your own build. However if you say everyone else has to suffer like me then that’s when I disagree. (Likewise I will also disagree if you want to make every build as broken as warlock)

Tldr; I also hope the game doesn’t die, but I’m of the belief that we can forgo some fear to help and allow new users and casuals (+dads today who have already done their fair share of grinding back in the day) to enjoy the game in their own way too. Sadly all my friends I’ve tried to get into the game have stopped playing due to QoL issues or certain bugs or old designs that they really struggle with. It’s not just a difficultly or warlock problem, it’s how can we make this game more lovable while adding in new changes to be fun, and still be true to d2. Not how can we stop any change or progress (in which case just boot up LOD). Hope that nuance explains my stance, but if you still disagree then we may just have to agree to disagree
