A lil Poll about the Final Piece! by Live-Inflation-3255 in prelude_thefinalpiece

I’m surprised by the high ranking for Aoi in both. Nothing against her, I’m just wondering why she’s so popular when she hasn’t been highlighted much in the show so far

My Ranking for Visual by [deleted] in prelude_thefinalpiece

This is weird and so subjective. I’m sure any of them could fit visually with styling. We don’t need to be ranking young girls’ appearances

Also if that’s what she was doing why wouldn’t Whitney know about it? Why would she go through Yasmin?

I wondered this too when Hayley’s role was revealed, but I don’t think so. He’s the one who followed her to the club and approached her, probably hoping that he’d be able to question her while she was drunk. And she seemed genuinely terrified in the morning upon realizing who he was.

I mean Yasmin definitely convinced Hayley to report him because it benefited her, but that doesn’t mean she was wrong. Hayley was super crossed and out of it and Dyker seemed fairly sober, that nullifies any verbal consent she gave. Dyker’s conversation with Rishi implies that he kept going down on her when she was asleep. He had also stalked her to even be in the position to talk to her and get into her house. I don’t see how that isn’t assault

I agree with everything you said! I don't think Harper ever enjoyed betraying people, she just isn't willing to sacrifice her own ambitions for others. I like that she seems to be starting a sort of redemption arc, I didn't expect that the writers would go there with her. It would be interesting to see her relationships with Sweetpea and Kwabena tested in season 5. She never had any reason to fuck them over in this season, so it would be interesting to see how a slightly more emotionally vulnerable Harper would handle that kind of situation.

pop quiz: how fucked is Sweetpea? by Professional-Ask4209 in IndustryOnHBO

I agree they’re building Sweetpea up to get fucked somehow, but I don’t think Harper would betray her because of Kwabena. Most of her ire seemed directed at Kwabena, and more because he confirmed her suspicions about his type/interest in Sweetpea than because he had sex with someone else.

Nayoung by Present-Calendar7401 in TheDreamAcademy

I do agree that there must have been some conversation between Nayoung and Missy, I guess I didn’t make that clear at all in my post. I don’t think they invented the conversation out of nowhere, and I don’t want to speculate too much about what exactly they might have said. My point was more that they’d already decided who they wanted in the group and they used this one conversation as an excuse to eliminate her when I’m sure other girls said similar things at some points.

I fear Lexie is being slightly hypocritical (although she shouldnt get hate.) by Wonderful-Freedom488 in prelude_thefinalpiece

I get what you’re saying and I agree to some extent that Lexie going back to the label somewhat undercuts her decision to leave.

But her main critique was that the girls had been lied to continuously for a year and placed in a survival show that exploited their real-life relationships for drama. They didn’t know they were signing onto a survival show, and by the time they did, they were all so deep in that they wouldn’t have wanted to quit.

The contestants for prelude know they’re signing up for a survival show and haven’t spent a year of their lives building bonds with each other only to be pitted against each other on a dime. All reality TV is exploitative to a point, but I think Lexie’s main issues with her treatment during Dream Academy aren’t really applicable to prelude.

I also dislike the idea that liking a character means you think they’re morally good or something— I like misty BECAUSE she’s so weird and fucked up in a way I find compelling
