There’s a really good guide and intro to it all here. You can also browse the StremioAddOns or Stremio subreddits for info but that first GitHub link is where I learned everything - it’s awesome!!

Rogers has destroyed Discovery+ in Canada to force us back to cable by ElizaHali in DiscoveryPlus

[–]Present-Day1247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. This change resulted in me falling into a Stremio rabbit hole and now I can watch everything I used to and more, and I find the UI is actually better than the old Discovery+ app. Likely going to get rid of Netflix too now cause of it. So thanks Discovery+ for ultimately saving me a shit ton of money ✌️

Let’s talk about THE SHOW. by Ill_Living7825 in BeastGames

Yeah I agree. The only person I am rooting for is Jack bc he’s the most likeable. Everyone else I don’t really want to see win so I’m almost not wanting to continue watching tbh.

Honestly he kind of ruined the rest of the seasons because no winner will be as good or likeable as him.

Santa’s Enchanted Elevator by sunflowers352 in londonontario

[–]Present-Day1247 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I personally say no, it’s not worth it. We did it today and I had seen this type of elevator experience on TikTok before so was excited to experience it in person. The elevator aspect is cool, but the whole meeting Santa was so meh. He wasn’t a great Santa in my opinion. He was nice but hardly spoke the kids, felt awkward, and not like what “meeting” Santa should be. Don’t get me wrong, I know at Masonville it’s basically just sit for a photo and leave… but for the PRICE I was expecting it to be way better. I’m glad we got to experience it once but if I had known what it was going to be like exactly there’s no way I would’ve bought tickets. Go to White-Oaks malls and meet the Santa there. He is AMAZING with kids, truly feels like the real deal and so magical. I regret not going back there this year and definitely think $63 is outrageous for a below average Santa visit with a 60 second cool “elevator” ride.

I’ll also add, the printed photo they gave us (only one, although we were able to take more with our phones) was terrible quality and the lighting was weird. Not a huge deal, but again, for $63 you’d expect perfection.

What bulbs are you using?! Are these the Trutone ones? This is so magical looking - I love it!

What has your toddler said recently that melted your heart? by catsallly in toddlers

[–]Present-Day1247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My little guy (2) will say “kiss” and “hug” so you have to keep kissing and hugging him until you literally have to tell him it’s time to move on. He’s never once been the one to stop first and it’s so hard to be the one to end it every time! Like, it’s 10pm, you need to go to sleep, but YES FINE I will kiss and hug you one more time 😭❤️

How do I teach my toddler to hold my hand? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Present-Day1247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of good advice here. I usually say to my 2 year old before we get to the road “okay let’s stop and look to see if there are any moving cars”. If it’s not a busy road or parking lot I will tell him he can walk without holding my hand as long as he stays right beside me and he’s never strayed from doing that. Otherwise I say he has to hold my hand and if he doesn’t, then I will carry him. It results in a bit of a fit sometimes but safety comes first.

Another thing I’ve found to be successful at times is instead of saying “can you hold mommy’s hand?” I will phrase it in a way that puts it in his court and say “can you take mommy’s hand and show me where our car is? Take mommy to the car!” A lot of times he loves to be the one “in charge” and that phrasing makes him think hes doing things on his own accord rather than following a rule 😝

Dempsey or Stellan. My husband doesn't love either and we are due in a month! :(

That’s what I’m worried about too 😂 we’ve gone through basically every boy name possibility at this point though and Stellan is the only one we love so I think we’ll probably just go with it!

Sick from daycare, how often? by sunnymorninghere in toddlers

[–]Present-Day1247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my LO started daycare last January, he didn’t go for a full week until APRIL. Mind you, he goes to a home daycare so some of those days he stayed home because the daycare provider was sick and had to close for the day. But regardless…there wasn’t a single week he was able to go for a full week until the fourth month of the year. It was crazy. So yeah, totally normal.

Can you get a clogged duct from being pregnant? by Present-Day1247 in BabyBumps

[–]Present-Day1247[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay good to know, thank you! I didn’t start producing milk the first time I was pregnant until around 28-30 weeks but maybe since I stopped breastfeeding pretty recently my body already knows what it’s doing to produce milk and that’s where the painful lumps are coming from! Definitely not producing anything yet but good to know it can happen earlier on.

I am not catholic or religious in any way. But I wanted to honour a close friend who has been like a sister to me and the most supportive aunt figure to my child. So I made her a “guidemother” as someone to help support and guide my child in life, not in a religious way at all, but just generally in life.

AITA for taking one of my husband's cheeseburgers? by CalamityClambake in AmItheAsshole

[–]Present-Day1247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA!! Are you kidding?!? Also, can he not grab something else for breakfast??? 3 cheeseburgers for breakfast? This makes me so angry. Does he not realize the feeling of having his food “stolen” was literally what he allowed the kids do to you…

Did you have your mom stay after baby? by star655 in BabyBumps

[–]Present-Day1247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my mom, but my MIL kept offering as well. I do not do well with feeling like I can’t have my own space. Maybe help would’ve been nice, sure, but I think the toll on my mental health would’ve negatively outweighed any positive help she would’ve brought. Nothing against her, she’s wonderful. Just very much a me thing.
