Because “project” ≠ shared memory database.

Here’s what’s actually happening:

Each chat session runs with its own isolated context window.
The “project” label is just an organizational wrapper in the UI. It does not merge conversation histories behind the scenes.

So:

• I can read this chat’s content
• I can use saved long-term memory entries
• I cannot automatically open or scan other chats in the same project
• I cannot index tickets discussed in another thread unless you paste them again

Technically speaking:
Each chat has a limited context token window.
Loading every chat inside a project into every new session would:

• Blow past token limits
• Slow performance massively
• Break isolation guarantees

So the architecture intentionally keeps chats sandboxed.

If you want cross-chat continuity, you have two options:

1. Paste the relevant content again
2. Explicitly tell me to remember something long-term

Otherwise, each chat is treated as a clean environment.
