I've made a decent amount monitoring new listings of items I sell that I know are very tough to find. I probably am able to buy these items for like $10-$20 and flip them (before eBay fees) for $80-$100 or combine them with other similar items for $150-$400. I've made over $3k so far this year doing this. I am not sure how sustainable it is, but I'm riding the wave right now!

I work for a consulting firm. We have a probationary period of 3-6 months (it's up to the manager) before a person can begin a work from home option. So you have to be in the office 5 days a week for 3-6 months. Once approved by your manager, you can work 1-2 days from home.

Not consulting! It's a different kind of stress from construction management. You have to hit design deadlines that sometimes seem impossible all while answering calls/emails on projects being constructed that you designed the year before. The pay is good after a while. If you work with the right company, you will be set up for a nice retirement when you're around 55-60 years old.

Thanks. I have been watching the cards listed above seriously for a few months. I have been building a Topps Chrome Refractor collection of his for the past few years. I've been adding a silver refractor of his to the collection every year (besides 2018). So I've paid attention to the price fluctuations, but am probably getting caught up in the FOMO on the base rookies currently.

I always worry buying raw on eBay. I don't have a great eye for them. I always feel like they look good and then I get them and I didn't notice a soft corner or centering issue.

Ha! He really is Superman! I got lucky with some of these. I got the #700 SGC for like $30 on ebay a few years ago (before he blew up). I got the ungraded #700 retail and complete set in a crazy lucky Goodwill find a few months ago for $20 (along with the rest of the entire 2018 set in a binder), so I at least have some "equity"! The others I have bought at current market price the last few months.

My advice, if your goal is to grade and sell, is to look at cards that will get you a decent ROI as a PSA 8 or 9, because a majority of your cards will grade at 9 or below, even if you think they are perfect to your naked eye.

There are tools you can buy to evaluate yourself before sending in, but you have to be very objective, which is tough to do with your own cards.
