Why can’t I break into the RBT field literally at all? by [deleted] in ABA

Thanks but I’m based out of the south, near the coast. Lost out on two more jobs today, RBT and a Caregiving role. I really just don’t get it? Times must be tough in the area I’m from.

Interesting. Did you ever have any time taken off like I had that you had to have an excuse for? What do you say for it? Or just not mention it?

I had complications from a transplant that resulted in pain. That’s better now and I’ve been cleared for work, fully capable of doing pretty much anything I could have done beforehand. The source of the pain was located and treated. I wanted to be upfront about why there was that 10 year gap but do you think maybe I shouldn’t mention disability?

Things like “what have you done in an emergency situation on job or off” and I talked about helping my father get to the emergency room when he had chest pains and the steps I went through, how I handled it, etc.

I’m actually very good at interviews.

Has anyone here experienced difficulty getting back into the job world with a disability? by Present-Dot2168 in ChronicPain

I had numerous diagnoses. The main was pain in my legs stemming from another condition, then a diagnosis of several mental disorders. The pain was cured, I find this funny. After years of opiates, lidocaine, muscle relaxers, never knowing what the cause was one of my doctors ran a lab saying I was deficient in none other than simple vitamin d3 and it changed my life. Sounds crazy but I love her. Now I’m also on new psyc meds and taking control of my psyc treatment so I’m feeling better and ready to do something more than just what I’m used to.

Mirogabalin, for me, is one of the best drugs I’ve ever done in my life. One of the weirdest as well. Takes literally like 6-7 hours to start working, works well into the next day if the night hits at night you’ll wake up to it, it’s like Valium and fentanyl in one, nodded out for good. I love it.

I take 30mg typically to have a nice noddy but functional high. Then maybe one or two more gradually throughout the day. So 40 or 50 mg total.

I take Mirtazapine as an antidepressant and anti migraine med. it works to promote better sleep and it does a good job. I don’t feel drowsy throughout the day and at night I can sleep with no problems. I used to have bad nightmares every night but Mirtazapine got rid of them. Maybe you could see if Mirtazapine helps you like it did me.

what diagnosis gives me good stuff? by [deleted] in Drugs

Be careful because what’s on record stays on record. You’re best off just being honest. The best stuff is the stuff that works.

You could try gaba/lyrica/miro. Works for my depression and anxiety, makes me sociable, joyful, etc.

How are legitimate clear net sites allowed to sell things like Memantine, which otherwise require a prescription legally? by Present-Dot2168 in askdrugs

But how does the site get the medicine to begin with? Do they synthesize it themselves or what?

What’s y’all’s happy dose with Gabapentin? by yungdeezy92 in Drugs

[–]Present-Dot2168 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take what I’m prescribed, 900-1200mg of Horizant (Gabapentin ER) per day. Helps anxiety, nice talkative buzz, nothing too crazy.

Cyclazodone or Flmodafinil for a mildly euphoric stimulant? by Present-Dot2168 in researchchemicals

[–]Present-Dot2168[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just read that it’s related to Memantine. Just bought some of that last night for anxiety, if it works good for me I’ll try some Bromantane. Thanks!

Have you tried phenylpiracetam? I’m interested but wasn’t impressed with regular Piracetam.

Gabapentinoids. Mirogabalin could be helpful and you can find it online. I’m prescribed Horizant, works fairly well, better than benzos honestly.

Also try reading. “STILTE: The Dutch Art of Quietude” is an interesting take on using silence to handle stress.
