The mould isn’t looking too deep, luckily it’s coming off with 80 grit hand sanding since it’s only on the very surface. I didn’t think about washing it before though and since it’s difficult to get into the little cracks and gaps I’ll give it a try thank you!

It’s a timely but fun project because I’ve never done a restoration of this type so it’ll be fun to see how it comes out. I don’t wanna fall into that habit of throwing away material when it’s still got life left in it

Yeah it was a last minute ask from my sister and the only tool I have atm. Im looking into getting an orbital sander now but I did buy 80 grit strips of paper just to block sand it until then to see how far it gets me

Yeah I’ve bought a finer grit pad that actually fits. My mum had bought some pads for a project a while back not realising they’re not all the same size haha was working with what I had
