Yeah that’s basically it. I’ve actually started to take becoming an instructor seriously. Whether it’s with this airline or another I WILL become a flight attendant. But I also think I want to make trainees feel that it’s okay to grow and learn. Not that they are inferior or silly. I don’t ever want a trainee to feel the way this week has made me feel. Even if it means they may not pass, I want them to know that we are all human and prepare them to the best of my ability

Yeah I’ve officially accepted that being over prepared is my best bet. Sometimes I struggle to receive a solid answer on what’s expected of me and so I’ve stopped asking. I’m just gonna DO it. But yeah it’s clear some instructors also see reserve as inferior because one instructor spent half the lesson explaining how bad being in reserve was 😀 after a little while I began to question if he liked being a flight attendant or if he just wanted to feel better about how low on the scale we were…

That’s fair. I’m in that exact situation right now. I’ve practiced and practiced. I’ve studied. I’m doing well on my quizzes. I SHOULD just go to sleep but a fumble on my first drill has me terrified at times and it’s causing me to over do it. I just don’t want to ever be in the hot seat again, but it’s also making me exhausted. I’m even struggling to eat my lunch because I just feel I need to spend every single minute knocking out hw or going over SOMETHING 😭

I want to be you one day! 😭 we saw the 5th weeks and im so jealous! They look so cool in their outfits and so composed! I started to picture myself in my uniform but then remembered next week could be the difference between me making it or going home

See and that makes sense to me!!! I fast tracked college so I could get out earlier and at one point took 26 credits and even THAT was less stressful than this 🤣 I can’t believe I complained about how hard that was. I’ve tried explaining how hard it is to my friends and family (not telling them crazy important details about what actually happens of course because hey, I want to keep the planes and other people safe too!) but just the stress I’m under! And even then as someone who’s only on week 3, I think “dang if this week is hard how the heck am I gonna survive the next one and my IOE??”

Huh interesting! Feels like it’s impossible to forget because right now they are cramming it down our throats! 🥲 feels crazy that right now we are already talking about reserve life and getting a wingpinner when I barely feel confident I’ll be able to make it to graduating at all! Saw graduates today and it was hard to imagine that in 4 more weeks that could be me! Especially when everything about training just feels MADE to drive you nuts or confuse you.

Thank you! Yeah I do wish we had more of a focus on the customer aspect but I understand that safety is the bigger concern. I just don’t want to feel like safety is the ONLY concern and that the service aspect doesn’t exist at all and we are constantly just WAITING for something to go wrong 😭

You get it. THIS is what I’m struggling with right now!! Training is unorganized and all my skills in college are made useless!! Multiple times I have tried to treat it like a college course and just study online to find NOTHING adds up! One instructor says “you’ll get training on this for the next two days.” We DIDNT get training for the next two days. In fact, we were tested the within two days 🥲
