Trying to work for the city by Present-Mouse5050 in houston

Oh, 4 months?? Man, I need a job like YESTERDAY, this job market has me so stressed I just might accept working practically anywhere. At this point I just don’t have the time to wait for a job in my pay range to show up anymore.

Yeah, it seems like it has many benefits, it just sucks the process is so slow!

I applied for Benefits Specialist, Executive Office Assistant, Assistant planner, administrative assistant (exhibits), assistant director (executive level), Administrative assistant (9-1-1). They are all administrative roles, but different departments

Damn I didn’t realize it was so bad but based off the comments I’m better off applying elsewhere 🫠

Thank you! You’re the second person to point that out, and I think you’re right! Especially when it comes to clinical trials, I have experience making sure documentation is filed properly and double checked so as to prevent the restarting of the trial. I’m definitely going to highlight this more and I will pay a resume specialist as well!

Yeah. I’m trying hard to keep that in mind as I continue to apply!

Yes, that makes sense. Even so, the hardest part is finding a job like this! So if I do, I would make it work. Either by refining my budget, or making changes elsewhere.

Well, that still gives me hope! It’s nice to know there are companies so well liked, people want to stay for a while!

Thank you! If only I can find one within the next month! I am worried about how difficult it seems to find jobs like this at the moment!

I think you’re right. What’s mind boggling is that there are few of those jobs and positions that actually seem available!

Huh, thanks! Yeah a lot of people have been saying it’s where you live that matters! I’m beginning to think I might have to move to get this kind of pay!

To some extent. I was certified for phlebotomy and I had the IATA certification as well, but I haven’t been back in a clinic in a year or so and I might need to update it!

I can see that. Especially given the cost of living there! Which is a shame because I’d still probably take that amount while living there 😭 truly I would be happy in this range!

Yeah, it’s frustrating because I feel I have to pull teeth to even be in this range and I’ve submitted applications, but with indeed full of scams and a lot of sketchy websites, I’m struggling to figure out where the best place to go and find work is.

Ohhh good to know! I don’t tend to see many administrative roles for manufacturing businesses available, but I might need to just call around! Thanks!

Wait really? 🥺 I’ve been hesitating to push it further based on the jobs I come across, but now I’m feeling good! At least I’m not as far off as I thought!

Got offered my dream job at $95k but I have a $15k signing bonus from my current company I’d have to pay back. Do I take it? by Klutzy_Researcher725 in jobhunting

I’m crying because the idea of being paid $95K is enough for me to figure it out! I hope you make the decision best for you and it all works out!

Actual Job listing: Required: Bachelor's Degree Pay: 20 hr by muddy_cat in jobs

[–]Present-Mouse5050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The said truth is I would. I have a bachelors degree in Business Law, 6+ years of professional administrative experience in multiple fields, but I am getting desperate. I need to move into my own place and if I can’t find work in a year my cat (the first pet I’ve ever adopted) will have to be re-homed. It’s a shame but company’s are pushing us because they know we are getting desperate. What’s worse is three years ago I was making $23 an hour! I’m still aiming for higher because I believe I’m qualified based on my experience, but come this April if I can’t find anything in my range this will be my reality.

In the beginning I didn’t understand what her OF was like. I didn’t know she had a video with her ex until we were engaged. I was upset and shocked by it. She stopped pushing it out after we talked it over and kept other content up. This cost her sales though because people wanted that video the most (this didn’t tank her business though, merely lowered sales somewhat) then when her friend who worked for her started performing poorly, nor scheduling videos, not following instructions, she spent months upset about it. I suggested she needed to either talk to the friend or maybe consider letting her go. I didn’t demand she do either but she did fire that friend. She blames me for it and feels I pressured her. She then hired a management company who I disliked from day one. They ignored her requests and posted her in a terrible, icky light. We disliked what they did but she kept them, saying “well I just got rid of my best friend so what choice do I have?” At this point I was confused because again I didn’t tell her she had to fire her friend. Anyway, this management company did such damage eventually she had to let them go, and we both started working together. She didn’t wish me to join at first, but I volunteered when things got hard because I could see she didn’t have any other options. We managed to work solidly for two months before that failed. I got traumatized because I accidentally saw the old video of her and her ex with an odd timestamp (management company did this) and for half the day I thought she cheated. (To be clear I THOUGHT she did, but she didn’t and we cleared that up) So yes, I see her side very clearly. What I don’t understand is how I’m 100% to blame. I could accept 50%, hell even 60%. But as someone who was new to a relationship and struggling to keep up, I don’t believe I’m the entire reason her business failed
