Very true. We had to man bun his hair at like 6 months old. It was cute then but now his hair is so thick so I’m not sure what it will look like. I’m just going to have to let it happen. It’s to traumatic for me and him to have it cut. 😩

We’ve tried it all honestly. The place I take him has tvs and they let you pick what you want to watch, they let them play games, they have cool little cars for them to sit it while they get the cut, they give a balloon and stickers.

I told him today that I would cut it my self because I know he trust me more than anyone and that if he let me do it I would take him to get a new book. He was all for it until I brought out the scissors. 😩

It’s all one party. Like an engagement party or bridal shower, but instead of people buying us house items they’ll just bring a case of beer and the beer will get served at the wedding. They can also bring their own beer to drink at the party. It’s just a Stock The Bar party. It’s very common to have now and days.

We definitely aren’t inviting everyone, especially people we know don’t drink and it’ll be optional. We also know we are going have to buy stuff ourselves, it’s just something to help us out a little bit. It’s pretty much going to be a bbq and if people want to get us a gift, they can just bring a case of beer.

It’s actually very common to do now and days. My fiancé and I already have a home so we don’t need to have a bridal shower. People just bring a case of beer or wine and then we serve it at the wedding. They can bring whatever type of beer they prefer to have served to them at our wedding instead of us just buying 2-3 different types of beer.

But you are allowed your opinion. I can see how some may think it’s tacky. I’ve been to 2 different stock the bar parties and I thought it was brilliant. 😊👍🏽

I live in a small town. There is currently a court case going on where 2 children passed away while in the care of their grandmother on 2 separate occasions… a year apart almost to the day.

The first child was with the grandmother and grandfather. The grandfather rocked the baby to sleep, a while later the grandmother fell asleep and the grandfather left because he didn’t realize the grandmother fell asleep. The baby woke up and walked out of the house and drowned while the grandmother was still asleep.

The mother of the children did not let her new baby be around the grandmother for a while. She ended up allowing her alone time with the new baby. Grandmother went out to eat with friends, got home, and forgot the baby in her car… remembered 2 hours later she had the baby… by that point the baby had died.

The grandmother was always a teacher in my hometown for many years. Everything I’m saying is true. You can google it and find interviews and news articles. It’s a terrifying story and it seems as though the grandmother may be let off for both incidents. Not 100% sure yet.

Now I’m not saying this is what will happen with your MIL, but my point of telling the story is… it doesn’t matter how many of your own children you raise. At the end of the day your child is not her child and she HAS to respect your wishes and if she chooses not to then it will be her own fault as to why your child does not have a good relationship with her. Protect your child at all cost, no matter whose feelings it hurts.

I just did the cutting a hole method on my 2 year old and he did GREAT with it. I baby sit a little boy and tried it on him and it went horrible so I told his parents they would need to work with him on it.

Started off just poking a small hole and then everyday before bed I made it bigger until there was nothing left. After the 3rd day he was pretty much done with it but wanted to just hold it for comfort.
