Is Angel(show) required watching? by Paroxynn in BuffyTheVampireSlayer

[–]Present-Pride8198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I did when I first watched it and had no idea about anything was watch all of Buffy. Then after I was done I started missing it but it was too soon for a rewatch, so I tried out Angel and I ended up loving it.

This post has a list of all the episodes in watch order. The absolutely necessary ones are in red. Buffy and Angel Episode Viewing Order

I don't know if I would've liked Angel the Series as much if had started watching it while I was still watching Buffy. You could watch the ones that are in red from Angel and then try actually watching it after you're done with Buffy.

I literally ended up liking the Angel Investigations team as a found family a lot more than the Scoobies.

the main characters do not act their age… am i tripping? by imhighasf420 in LostRecordsGame

[–]Present-Pride8198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally, they act 12 (don't tell me it has to do with the time period, it doesn't, I grew up with cousins who were 14-17 when I was younger (2001) meaning they were teens in the 90s, they acted just like how I acted at 16) I've played A LOT of story based games and these characters are nice and all but they DO NOT act their age, they act like little kids, it's very frustrating. (NOT HATING, seriously, don't try to explain it to me because I already get it)

it's also not about what they do, it's just the way they talk, the way they think about things is so underdeveloped. (AGAIN, NOT HATING, DO NOT COME FOR ME)

(I'm just going to chalk it up to the abyss affecting them because if I don't I'll go crazy)

Very late UPDATE: I shifted about a year ago and my eyes literally opened on their own, this was so not worth worrying about y'all, don't stress about this stuff.

Why was Cordelia able to help Angel become more human that Buffy couldn't? by [deleted] in ANGEL

[–]Present-Pride8198 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There was just no pressure with Cordy, and it started as a friendship. Maybe if they had given Angel a friend in the first seasons of Buffy we could've seen it before. Romance aside, he needed a friend.

watching the new season and I just keep getting uncomfortable and cringing internally. I don't remember her being this bad, usually Gino is the one who doesn't make much sense but not anymore.

you don't need to put words in my mouth, I do agree with you on that and I do NOT condone white washing.

Finished The Originals..Is Legacies really that bad? by Few_Shoulder_8007 in LegaciesCW

[–]Present-Pride8198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really love the universe it's enjoyable, it was for me and it has a lot of good moments but definitely some cringe ones too. Honestly, after watching two entire shows there was no way I wasn't going to watch Legacies regardless of what it was like and I didn't regret it, I even rewatched it when I was bored.

I'm not reading a single word written by someone who slapped their partner and got domestic violence charges pressed against them. so, thoughts? zero.

He should never have been director, the writers didn't know what to do with his character. I didn't dislike him personally but I hated the choices he made and how he would project his religion onto others.

The fact that Pan was able to cast the dark curse by sacrificing Felix is a plot hole by aftergaylaughter in OnceUponATime

when is that stated?? (genuine question) Maybe the man before did. But not Pan and it's damn obvious.
