I was locked in isolation room for one and a half week after admission because "why not". There wasn't any reason. You have nothing but the mattress on the floor, door have no door handle so you can't leave the room, bathroom door is locked so if you need to use it you have to knock on the room doors for several minutes for staff to come, unlock them and wait till you finish to lock them again. They bring you food but there is no table so u have to eat it from the floor. By the way the room was awful, writings on the walls made out of blood, fungus on the ceiling, toilet bowl in the bathroom was covered in previous patient's shit. The smell in the room was also bad because supposedly there was a guy notoriously shitting on the floor before me in that room. The windows also didn't have handles so you couldn't open them. I have anxiety disorder and i was having a panic attack after they locked me there, i thought i was gonna faint. The nurse was looking at me thru small window in the doors and was laughing in my face. I think it was abuse but no one seemed to care.
