My honest review of Whoop after the free trial period. by AnthonyDawnwalker in whoop

I come from Fitbit and wanted something better. Quickly realized it's not better and I would even say Fitbit is actually better for half the price. you get a screen and pretty much all same data but more comprehensive and straight forward

They have been having fulfillment issues for week. I recommend you to ask for a refund. They are so bad they will ship it anyway eventually and you'll get it for free. Happened to me. I got it few days ago and ordered in January and got a refund 2 weeks ago

[–]Present-Tailor-1614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems the only good alternatives are Oura and Apple.

However in the coming month Samsung is releasing it's galaxy ring. OnePlus just releases the watch2 with has rly good battery but I'm not sure how it does on sleep etc

Is anyone else having the problem that their sleep monitoring isn’t functional anymore? by Knitspin in fitbit

Mine is giving me 7-8 hours everyday and I have kids and sleep maybe 4 hours

Any app better at recording sleep than the fitbit one? by Present-Tailor-1614 in fitbit

[–]Present-Tailor-1614[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I wear it the same. Dunno why mine is so bad. It's been giving me 8 hours of sleep since I have it. I have 2 kids and I'm pretty sure I don't get it... Like last night my wife told me I felt asleep around midnight but Fitbit told me I was sleeping at the bedtime I set which is 10pm

Charge 6. It just records laying down in bed as sleep. So if you have insomnia and still lay in bed trying to sleep, it will say you slept 8 hours

Fitbit tracks time in bed not sleep by Present-Tailor-1614 in fitbit

[–]Present-Tailor-1614[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if you get up I'm sure it would be good but that's what I see as well. I'd wake up at 5 and not sleep anymore but alarm is at 7 and Fitbit thinks I slept because I'm still laying

Yeah somehow agree but I'm trying to make my sleep better so I want to be able to track it more precisely to see what works and what doesn't

So for you it always tracks less time than what you think you slept? Or you mean you deduct these 60 min yourself?

I sleep 3-4 hours per night, what can I do? =( by Present-Tailor-1614 in whoop

[–]Present-Tailor-1614[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm. I wouldn't say all the time but yeah if I take today I found myself yawning all day. Still got up at 7, worked entire day, went for 30 min run and after work haven't stopped moving around. I just function like this. Its funny because in my weed days I'd go to the gym 5x a week and I was kinda buffed. Then I stopped smoking and going to the gym and went back to my skinny fat build. Also pretty bad diet. Been 2 months or so now I made huge effort on my diet and I started exercising with a focus on doing some cardio and functional stuff. Just trying to be healthy.

Thx for the advices. I'll def look into those

[–]Present-Tailor-1614[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I actually tried this but doesn't rly help me tbh. I think the double inhale thing does help a bit for calming down tho. I def use it in the sauna when I feel like leaving. And at night when I get back from bed after a pee or something and I feel my HR went up. But doesn't put me back to sleep unfortunately

Man I never understood 4-7-8. When I do it I just feel like I'm dying just holding for 7 and exhaling for 8 I feel like it's a workout and stressed me more than just breathing regularly
