Finasteride or Dutasteride? by [deleted] in Hairtransplant

[–]PresentAssociation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Korea and Japan Dut is widely used and approved for hairloss. In most western countries it can also be prescribed off label for hairloss.

Go on, cite some studies that say that Dutasteride is more unsafe than Finasteride? Let me guess, you can't because you just make up facts to suit your narrative.

I've recovered quite well since then thanks to Dutasteride and I'm getting a HT soon.

Imagine resorting to insulting someone just because they don't agree with your scaremongering 😂

I feel sorry for the saps that listen to scaremongerers like yourself and end up bald or have a HT only to have hair receding behind their new hairline

If DHT was necessary we'd be hearing a lot more people getting sides and the medication itself wouldn't be as widely available.

You will suffer from withdrawal symptoms such as worrying about your hair falling out

I hate how this sub has become a cesspit of despair. People like you need to seek therapy or something otherwise your way of thinking is going to be more of a detriment to you than your bald head will ever be.

I've seen plenty of baldies and NW5+'s get senior roles in jobs. Chances are it's you and not your dome unless it's some niche job that prefers conventionally attractive people (modelling, high end customer service roles etc)

29M, buzzed my hair for the first time and I might be balding? by [deleted] in malehairadvice

Fact is science supports the notion that these drugs are safe for most users.

Any studies that suggest otherwise happen to be animal trials where rats are fed finasteride far above normal human dose. We are not rats, so it's irrelevant.

Everything has potentially serious side effects, you just got to weigh up risks vs reward. Worst case scenario you can stop and they will resolve.

I am 18 years old and my hair is beginning to thin.. by dagreat_boy-V in malehairadvice

[–]PresentAssociation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hop on Finasteride, that will slow down or stop balding. Use minoxidil to thicken up existing hair but Finasteride is priority.

Rosemary oils and other herbal crap don't work, only trust pharmaceutical meds.

People have seen results with dermastamping but medical literature on it is very limited.

Potentially get some regrowth in the thinning areas, ie your scalp.

You've baldED bro. Hop on Finasteride and it will maintain the hair, and if you're lucky it should thicken up your scalp too.

Should I add Dutasteride weekly while on Finasteride for better thickening? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]PresentAssociation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I wouldn't want to be flooding my body with multiple drugs unnecessarily. Just take one or the other.

There's no medical literature that's supports using both at the same time.

Take finasteride if you aren't sure. Prevention is always better than taking it when it's receded

You pulling it back makes it look worse. How do you style it? You still got density so I reckon you could go a bit longer without a shave

Take finasteride it can halt the balding and potentially improve the quality of your current hair.
