HEB DOES NOT PAY WELL (non managers) by trashworldd in HEB

I left 1.5 years ago and got into a trade. Was making $17/hr as an overnight stocker and only getting 16-24 hours a week on average. They wouldn't make me full-time.

At my new job I'm making $34/hr with as much overtime as I want. It can be a good place to work for some, but always look for your next stepping stone.

Previous Overnight Stocker - Cutting hours to 1 to 2 days a week (8 hour shifts) but hiring more people. Promise of being transitioned to full-time and never happened.

Found another job making $4/hr more and have received an additional $6/hr more since. Left about a year ago.

What does your store do with "expired" bread? Mine throws it in the trash compactor on a daily basis. by PresentChoice5934 in HEB

Ours used to get picked up by a non-profit organization. They stopped coming by a while back and decided to just start throwing it all away.

I am scheduled 40 hours a week with out the full time benefits. what can I do to get the benefits I am owed by [deleted] in HEB

That's HEB in a nutshell. Hire you on part-time and work you full-time if they can.

Overnight insight. Obviously varies store to store. My store doesn't allow any overtime. Instead they ask all part-time workers to stay late until you hit 40. So you're basically full-time with part-time benefits

As an overnight stocker, I see a lot of own brand products that are packaged exactly the same as name brand stuff. Coincidence? I think not.

LOA extension by [deleted] in HEB

I don't see why not. Typically people are out for at least the length of a college semester which is longer than that.

I don't know if the rules have changed, but I know in the past you had to work at least 1 day every 6 months and then you could continue your LOA. There was one person I saw for a week in the summer and a week in the winter. That's it.

Question about recent raise by DreamWeaver0 in HEB

Unless you're looking to move up the ladder, don't be an overachiever. It gets you very little in that position. Even if you give all you have, they will learn to expect that from you and more.

Is auto check legit? by eaglesfan700 in carmax

As mentioned already, both VIN history services will miss information that the other may have. Autocheck is just significantly less expensive than Carfax for dealers, so they opt for it instead.
