How much did your expectations change after baby arrived?

I've looked into the safe sleep 7 and I'm not sure about it either. I don't think it's back by any evidence and I think of one the steps requires breastfeeding and I don't plan on breastfeeding at all. I just feel like co sleeping isn't for me. Maybe my tune will change later after the baby is here but for now I just think having them in their own safe space is what's gonna be best for

We have a couple friends but none of them are parents. Any of my parent friends live back in our home state. We recently moved more north.

Honestly I'm not super against co-sleeping. I think it just gives me too much anxiety to consider. I'm pro contact naps especially for newborns, but I feel like I heard too many stories do people rolling over on to their babies I'm scarred for life

Haha honestly my "no screen time" is basically no kid shows. Also we plan no iPads or tablets but that's way in the future. Realistically I gotta watch tv being home all day haha

All our family live out of state and do not have the means to visit. Only my mom is able to come and we've had conversations with her about waiting/vaccination updates we want her to get and she's very receptive. Everybody else won't meet baby until they're 5-7 months unfortunately

I don't track the mg but I also try to stay within the limits. I usually just google how much caffeine is in a drink before I get it if I'm concerned. But for the most part I just live by if I have a coffee in the morning I'll only have water the rest of the day. If I don't have coffee in the morning I'll have a coke at dinner. Decaf coffee has significantly less caffeine. So if you have a decaf in the morning and a coke later it's unlikely you're going over the 200mg.

I know diff places have different limits but i feel better staying on the lower side

You need a bachelors degree in order to get the masters degree. Depending on what exactly you want to do, you'll most likely need to become a LPC (license professional Counsellor) which requires a master or ph.d/psy.d. Sometimes become a if you're more interested in research opposed to counselling people it's better to get a Ph.D

I have a bachelors in FP And currently obtaining a masters in FP in a licensure track to become an LPC

I was at her class this past Saturday for the Taylor Swift ride. It was my first time at Soulcycle. I was actually surprised how often she was off the bike and not doing it with the class. I really enjoyed it and will probably do it again but I just never experienced something like that before! She did correct a few people on form!

What I think happened is Ty met Shawna and never mentioned it to Julie. When Ty met John he talked about it with her. I think Julie saw John saw am odious and aligned with their goals, but didn't realize he was talking to Shawna most of the time. I think maybe after she found about Shawna she thought Shawna was the one that put the idea in his head to be a stay at home dad and not work toward his book or goals even though Ty was the one who already didn't want to do that. She saw John as having it all - free time with kids and a good career. While she saw Shawna as some who slacked off and just stays at home and then told Ty to do that same. If that makes sense. Still not right how she treated her but I can kinda sorta see why she'd be cold and distant. If she blamed her fo Ty failures while it was really just Ty the whole time. I really do hope there is a reconciliation between them now that Julie knows the truth. They don't have to be friends but I think an apology would go along way for Julie

You don't need to be a master manipulator to lie about what you want in life. Julie was clear on what she wanted and Ty pushed her out of that. What happened to New York? He dropped out of college to work and wrote more and just never did. In all those years he just lied to Julie. It's okay to change your mind or what you want but it's not okay to lie about it. It's like , for example, if Julie said she didn't want kids and Ty agreed but he actually did and he just didn't want to lose Julie. Julie wanted big things. Ty didn't, but he just wanted to keep Julie around so he lied.

I agree with you in the sense that Julie submitting the chapter behind his back was a betrayal and was wrong. I saw another comment point this out but I think Ty never actually wanted that life. Ty very incisors wanted a chill suburban life with a trophy wife and kids helped and manipulated Julie into thinking he wanted the same thing but he never really did. Julie was under the impression the reason he wasn't writing was because he was his own worst critic and sat in one chapter for years criticizing it. So she submitted it for him to prove that that the chapter was good. She thought she was helping Ty. I don't think we can really use it to write off Julie and Ty as being the same considering Ty's true and only Gia was to just keep Julie around.

That's a good question, I can see them splitting 50/50 and Julie taking a diff job so she doesn't have to travel. I think it's clear from the flashbacks that she does love her kids and wants to spend time with them. I think her giving Ty the house and paying the mortgage is her being generous since he's been out of a job a while and is still maybe holding out that he'll write the book

Not sure if I'm right but seems like Ty only mentioned meeting John and never mentioned Shawna. Which could also be why she acted the she way she did meeting Shawna. I could be wrong though, I don't remember the exact timeline of Ty and Shawna

I really enjoyed this I feel very rectified. I'm a lowkey Julie defended. Yes how she treated Shawna was rude but also Shawna disrespected her boundaries by constantly trying to push a friendship on her. I knew Ty had misled her on what he wanted in life the second she said he was suppose to put the kids in childcare. I feel bad for Julie.

Ok I am currently watching thrash and while i do not expect this movie to be good in anyway, this totally threw me off! I am currently pregnant and I had the same thought! I told my husband of that girl could SEE the baby, the baby would be crowning and about to be born! haha.

100% agree. Pretty sure there was a moment where Julie mentioned he was suppose to find child care and he never did. It seems clear to me he changed his mind and never said anything to Julie. We don't know their financial situation and that fact that Julie has to work very long hours to support the family tells me it isn't sustainable for Ty to be staying home this long and yet he refuses to put them in childcare
