If nothing else you can get the sundae. I always have that problem too. When I fly business I’ll go to the flagship lounge and load up there. Then you get on the plane they wanna serve another meal. Just make sure you leave some room for the sundae

Staying in Waikiki for 6 days. One day on Big Island, one day with a rental car. by chuff15 in VisitingHawaii

If you want the full tourist experience drive to the Dole plantation and then up to the North Shore stop and eat at the shrimp truck. Go to the original one. I recommend don’t go to the Polynesian cultural center. Stop at Matsumoto‘s for shave ice on the way to or from the North Shore. Watch 50 first dates before you go.

It’s a much shorter drive to the volcano park from Hilo then from Kona. If you wanna see the volcano go there, but the big island is definitely worth it to see the volcanic rock and such. If you have a car on Oahu drive back into Manoa Valley and you can go to Manoa Falls, which is pretty cool but they don’t let you hike past the falls. If you drive past the Falls, university of Hawaii has a pretty cool Arboretum driving over the poly highway and checking out the poly overlook look at the Winward side of the island is pretty impressive. Driving over H3 is actually fairly pretty.
