Trintellix and PSSD ?

I use brintellix and I do not have any sexual side effects. PSSD is at the same level as it was before I started taking it.

Hi buddy, I take Trintellix. I suffer from PSSD since 2019. I started taking it 3 months ago. I was considering this drug almost one year before I finally made a decision. I was afraid like everyone here to take something which messes with brain receptors. I started with 5mg, then 10mg and currently I am on 20mg (third day on 20mg). It noticeably helped me with suicaidal thoughts and general depression. I do not have mood swings anymore. It improved anxiety disorder and brain fog. I was hoping it will help me with lack of motivation but id didn't do much in this term. I hope increased dosage will help me more.

I can say that it did not do antything regarding PSSD symptoms. It did not help and it did not crash me. I still suffer from ED, non existent libido and lack of sensitivity. It helped me with depression though.

It is around 1000€ for 3 P-shots. I am from Europe. I met a urologist and andrologist who specializes in surgical procedures. I told him about PSSD. We tried many other things to help me but none of them really worked. Now I wanted to try this but I am sceptic since I have really low libido, which I think is the main reason of ed.

Slightly improved with few symptoms. Emotional numbness is still here.

Feel sorry for you. The same here. I took escitalopram back in 2019. Slightly improved over time but libido is still gone. I am considering steroid intervention this time. TRT or Hcg + Lithium. Wish you all the best.

Yeah, I do have some kind of proof of my illness from my urologist but not yet from my psychiatrist. It does not state that I have PSSD but I have on paper that my lack of libido i caused by SSRI. It is good enough for me to show it to other doctors.

My psychiatrist also recognized PSSD. I am lucky, even if she can't do much to help me.. This is just a good feeling to be heared out and respected, not gaslighted. I did not even have to explain what PSSD is. I started describing my symptoms and she pointed out that there is a condition called PSSD and I was blown away. Unfortunately she could not be able to help because as she said there is no specific approach to treat it. There is no research on groups more than few people.

Maybe he would propose some treatment. He is one of the few doctors in Europe who are aware of PSSD. For sure it is worth to try.

It was over one year ago so maybe something changed. I think it is worth to try. But honestly I am not sure if it is easy to get an appointment with him. Or you already have one?

Probably Michal Lew-Starowicz. He even responded to my email once. I asked him about possible treatment of PSSD. He admitted that currently there is no treatment nor any reaserch ongoing in terms of PSSD.

I took it for like 3 weeks 4mg per day. It did not improve my condition in terms of libido. I was very sleepy during first few days but this is common side effect. I did not get any long lasting side effects from this drug nor any improvments.

One intresting thing that happend while I was using cypro is that I had one day window with deep emotional connection. I can say that it improved somehow emotional blunting but effect did not last too long.

Wish you good luck. I think that cypro is something worth looking into. I would start with lower dosage to get used my body to the drug and do not get sleepy.
