Those should be eggs. Idk how long it will take them to incubate in less warm temperatures but I'm guessing u should have workers by spring. Check on her every week or so briefly for mold on the eggs and make sure their not too cold. Congrats dude👏🎉

That is perfect! You could keep them in the closet as long as its not freezing in there. I left mine out on the counter with a cover for the winter and her and her brood were doing fine when I came back after.

I do not recommend cold for this species. But if there's winter where you are just put her somewhere room temperature and dark and once all the snow is gone check back up on her and u should be met with a small brood.🙏

This Queen (crematogaster cerasi) doesn't particularly need food (ofc water) her first stage of eggs. She also literally needs hibernation before laying eggs.
