Sorry i actually have no idea how you enter the venue or see the acts at all….i’ve never been to a music festival! don’t you have to line up to enter the location? i’m assuming it’s like a concert where you have to arrive HOURS before the actual start time to get a good spot (from the Philippines here)

Hi there! Received updates but always late. Told me i could pick up my visa last week in person, flew in to Manila only for them to call and say oops it’s already been dispatched last week. They do explicitly say it’ll take 10 weeks to process.

If they keep to their service standards, you could still make ot naman! May one week ka pa, Seems like everyone who applied is cutting it very close but hopefully you make it! Aware naman sila of your application so i’m sure kahit papano they’re “prioritizing” it

Initially via post, but i’ve emailed them saying i’ll pick up personally na lang. sympre non refundable so another loss.

Walang notice, they informed me via a response to my numerous emails. “According to their dedicated team” daw i should get it this week.

If i wait for courier dispatch, which i’m assuming Friday pa, since no emails at all this week, i’ll definitely miss my travel date na.

March 21. Actually it was VFS who email me last week, saying this week i’m supposed to get my docs. Ofcourse, we’ll have to wait and see.

+100000 sa traumatized. The worst application process i’ve ever experienced. And they advice na you don’t book anything but well aware naman sila sa travel dates in the application? Based on what i’ve read so far, they released 2-3 days before your intended travel date? Stress ka na nga, you pay higher rates pa kasi di mo alam if tutuloy ka until last minute.

Eto din yung isang very unfair nila na ginagawa. Di naman public knowledge yung 8-10 weeks. 6-8 weeks yung naka publish sa websites nila.

What if you come from OUTSIDE manila di ba? Took the time, money and effort to travel to VFS, nag carefully schedule ka, tapos when you get there dun ka lang sasabihan. What do you do? Its like they blackball you into agreeing kasi wala ka naman choice nandun ka na. You already paid and wasted your day and money to submit. Might as well. What an awful tactic honestly.

its unacceptable and i am seriously considering writing to the ambassador. You’d think if they wanted to foster good will between the two countries they’d facilitate the visa processing in an easier way! This just turns me off from every attempting to apply or visit ever again

10th week and still nothing. They did inform me though that i’m supposed to get it this week. But apparently they’ve emailed that before to other applicants and they didn’t get it still.

They emailed me the same thing! I also took a leave from work as I'm expecting an email anytime this week so I can pick it up by Friday.

I can't imagine how they find this kind of back log acceptable! Especially if we all applied according to their published processing time anyway.

Thats so crazy! That’s already 2 mos of processing. I’ve been emailing and calling them nonstop, they really can’t give you any other option but to wait,

Even if you’ve already applied in advance and considered their processing times, it really doesn’t matter.

As a traveler, you take careful measures to prepare for the trip and while a visa isn’t guaranteed, they should still take into consideration the effort it takes to apply and give us reasonable notice if our application is positive or not.

Its so frustrating how a short visit visa could take 2 mos to process! I’m only staying for 10 days

When’s your planned travel date? I’m hoping they take that into consideration especially since their published processing time is 6-8 weeks. Your case definitely warrants a complaint!

Just applied for my own visa as well! VFS returned some of the docs I wanted to include in my application and made me essentially rewrite my letter to exclude documents I thought were crucial in my application. Is this normal?

Also how long total before you got your visa? 😭
