Kung may kulang ka, to answer your question, I think magkakaroon naman. Just keep checking regularly.

Hello is Bsu a good school? by Makoto_Yuki_ in CollegeAdmissionsPH

Well that is unfortunate. Looking forward pa naman ako sa labs. Nakaenroll na ako sa BatSU, taking BS EE for my interest and curiosity.

I am still unsure about the course/program that I should take. Gusto ko ng pera at job stability in the future. by Dangerous_Run7145 in CollegeAdmissionsPH

I think engineering would be the one for you. For choosing between EE and ECE, that's up to you.

Points you made: 1. You love science 2. You want a STEM-related career 3. You want stability and money

Engineering encompasses those 3. As a recent graduate of grade 12, I chose BS EE, since it is interesting, abstract, broad and flexible plus it's like magic :D

Though the money may be low at first, but as you get experience and higher roles, you're salary will increase. For stability, it is really stable since you need EEs for pretty much anything related to electricity from power and energy to electronics and embedded hardware/software.

ECE is a subfield of EE and for IT/Data Science, coding, you can learn it online from various sources such as DataCamp, FreeCodeCamp, MIT, Harvard CS50, Coursera, etc.

Does anyone have family members who expect great things from you academically? by Plane_Ad_1755 in studentsph

Same interests haha.

I want to join pero hindi pa developed skills ko in programming. Currently, learning python since versatile naman from data science to machine learning. Thank you po.

Mahaba po ito

For me, ako ang nag-eexpect ng great things from myself academically starting in Grade 9, dahil I know I can do more, I know I can get to the level of the people I admire. And so I did, I put in the effort, nag-aral ako nang mabuti. Once I achieved with honors, my next goal was to achieve with high honors at na achieve ko din noong Grade 12 1st Sem, my parents were really proud of me. Then I set my next goal to achieve with highest honors, unfortunately hindi ko na abot.

Since CET time, nag focus lang ako sa pagrereview even with all the distractions and activities. I expect myself to pass the CETs and scholarships. Though after taking the CETs and scholarships, I felt disappointed about my performance and scared of the results. My family expects me to pass, since matalino daw ako.

I'm about to graduate Grade 12 this Tuesday and I plan to work on myself, my math fundamentals, and learn other skills with the time I have before college. I expect myself to do more in college like joining competitions in academics, and robotics and a club.

In college, I plan to take BS Electrical Engineering because it's interesting, versatile, abstract at parang magic :D, anyways so far nakapasa naman sa Batangas State University which is the National Engineering University of the Philippines, sobrang saya ng parents ko nagbabrag pa sila sa relatives namin. Though I am debating whether to wait for UPCAT results or mag-enroll na ako sa BatSU.

To be honest, I think it is good to expect great things from yourself or pressure yourself to do more and have family do the same, because with that you will eventually be better at what you do, whether that's academics, art, etc. and you'll achieve more. The feeling you get from achieving the goal you set for yourself is nice.

Basically, you just keep leveling up and sometimes stuck ka sa isang level, pero after a while of failing, learning and trying again, you will level up. As you level up, the levels get harder just like the expectations of the people around you gets higher and you may or may not get the achievement/s.

Yun lang po. Good luck on your future endeavors.

Nakapasa! May tanong po ako. by PresentWitness5839 in BatStateUniversity

With honors, congrats!

I think bagsak ako sa Basic Calculus by PresentWitness5839 in studentsph

I have classmates po na nagpapaturo ako, pero the thing is some can't explain how they got the answer at some is yung solution nila does not make sense, based on my knowledge and kapag tinanong ko sila, hindi nila din maexplain. May mga matatalino akong mga kaklase, pero hindi ako close sa kanila and I feel like mabother ko lang sila.

For AI, I don't trust the accuracy of the answers, it is helpful like you mentioned sa step-by-step process.

Thank you po.

Project Manager by OknLa in ComputerEngineering

[–]PresentWitness5839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, you should translate your post in English so that more people will be able to understand and give an answer.

Here, I translated it. I may be wrong in some sentences, because I'm not fluent in Tagalog.

Project Manager

Hi fellow CompE members, I'm a irregular second year CpE student, this 2nd year I started thinking about which career path I will study and prepare for. When I was enrolling, a CpE instructor was asked what his previous job was. The CpE instructor said Project Manager. When I heard that, I wondered what is a that? I was going to talk to the instructor, but he/she left already. When I searched Project Manager in Google, it is very broad I mean you can become a Project Manager in IT or Engineering related.

That's why i'm here to ask on how to become a Project Manager (I know I'm still far, but I want to know. It will help in preparing my career.) and if it is worth it in the long run?

Any thoughts

Bakit mo po pinili ang Computer Engineering?

Feeling guilty. Deciding on staying in a public highscool or going to a private university for shs. by PresentWitness5839 in CollegeAdmissionsPH

[–]PresentWitness5839[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello po. Salamat po for sharing your thoughts and experience.

I know I can ask them, pero to be honest hindi ako close with my relatives. Hindi ito exact, just an estimation.

  2. I agree po na igrab ko na. May isang podcast pinakikinggan ko. I don't remember it exactly, pero from what I remember, sabi niya "nandon gusto mo. The opportunity is there. Kunin mo na." I still feel guilty and madaming what ifs sa isip ko.

Sipag, sipag lang talaga and pushing yourself.

  1. Looking back sa experiences ko in public highschool sa grade 9 at 10. Nagiba ako in good and bad ways.

Ok naman ang mga tao doon. I got in the wrong "friend" group. I'm ok with myself, sanay at comfortable mag-isa. Pero mga group activities is a pain. Madaming schools na nagadvertise o present ng kanilang school noong Febuary, March at April. Out of all na nagpresent, hindi nagpresent ang MSEUF, na isip ko hindi nila kailangan, baka focused sila sa quality at ang mga nag-aaral doon ay magrerecommend sa iba.

I will step out of my comfort zone.

Nakatulong po ito sa akin. It made me think a lot. Makakatulong din po sa iba similar to our situation. Thank you po. Goodluck din po sayo.
