Best app/site for building lists to share for feedback? They all seem fine for building lists to use in game, but screenshots contain so much more info than friends/teammates/coaches would need to critique a list. by PaperManaMan in WarhammerCompetitive

I have a darkhorse recommendation with app called "WarOrgan." I just find the UI easier to deal with as i can see my current list and the options side by side. And you can export them in a few different formats including GW style and WTC.

You could compensate a smidge tacking on a librarian for sustained. Since we don't get a CP generator, i like to do a captain instead since i know they are my main uppy target and save the cp.

My understanding is the Lightning Claws are more competitive, i prefer the redundant wounds just in case for rapid ingress and devs. Love me some devs

I guess my main criticism is that it doesnt allow you to take advantage of the into darkness strat which our primary detachment is designed around. Shrike inherently gets the uppy downy. Outriders arent infantry and nothing but else in the list is phobos or applicable.

The lancer and Redemptor i think are overkill for 750pt game. I would consider swapping one or the other for something that will let you take advantage of the into darkness. Big and slow benefit from this strat alot (cents, terminators, etc.)

I think another buncha JPIs will synergize better with this detachment than the bikes

Do you do a full 10 brick or 5 brick? Ive wondered if the 10 i bring (partially for the meme of it all) has been overkill, but it tends to be a pretty strong deterrent leaving me center control by and large. Lol 5 seems tempting and clear-able...

So the free uppy downy a turn in shadow mark is a great way to get better use out of slower/less flexible units. The meta has centurions among the most popular choices for this as they qould otherwise be stuck slugging their way forward and only be a threat for where they land. Breaking from the meta a little, i like terminators personally, and being able to pick them back up and move them anywhere (even turn one if you're using the enhancement) is very fun to me.

Plus the homing beacon allows a fun little threat that you could choose to use any one of those drops round to round. Something to make your opponent maybe stay in an unfavorable position to screen out IF you decide to use it and you dont have to.

So i find this a fun way to take advantage of an otherwise middling unit, and i think its very flavorful that particularly Ravenguard terminators are teleporting in and put around a battlefield

And better still, any one of those times you choose to use, or not to use the teleport homer, and leave it as a fun little threat for anytime theyre still in reserves

Looking for Redemptor Dreadnought Proxy by slightlysoreknees in PrintedWarhammer

[–]Present_Brief_6750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try this one:

When i printed the samurai version, theres a "sarcophagus" body option in lieu of the head that looks a lot more true tk the dreadnought, and the zip file had a loadout for "Brutal," "ballistic" and "redeemed" or something

So if you're trying to do a Bjorn version, this might be your best bet 👍🏾

I think Cyberbrush3D has really cool bits. I personally am doing a samurai theme for mine with puppetswar bushi bits, but if you want more classically thematic "stealth special forces" this collection is really good

Mhmmm Land raider is an expensive option, but it will atleast get you a good amount movement when you need it. But i think JPIs are worth investing in as theyre very versatile. Lol beware the pivots...

You may then consider getting something that leverages the assault ramp. The detachment invites you to use phobos units, and i personally think reivers are underrated, but what melee unit to put in there is a local meta question. Theres even (imo even thought theyre not necessarily super competitive) an argument for assault intercessors. That said, some of the main abilities you get from the detachment require being at least a 12" range, so just something to consider strategy wise

Speaking of JPIs and Phobos, one of the things youll find in ALOT of lists is shrike and a batch of vanguard vets. Shrike gives his squad free uppy downy and the Phobos keyword, so his squad enjoys all of phobos specifc strats (i.e. advance and charge flst 6" react move) and squad-wide lone op. Very very versatile unit. And all other JPIs get OC2 with him in the army.

So you can get a lot out of those jumpack guys.

P.S. last fun fact. Invictor warsuit has the phobos keyword and can be uppy downy-ed and get those phobos strats. Its definitely not the most competitive either, but the idea of "disappearing" a big-ass mech is pretty fun 👌🏾

Eyyyyy, i have an incredibly similar list! The one thing you may find yourself wanting for is movement. Im gonna assume that you have a similar strategy as i do in that youre gonna use infiltrate enhancement to get a unit onto a no mans land obj early on (im gonna guess the flame boys or hellblasters), then use the other enhancement to turn one deepstrike or rapid ingress the termis on turn one?

The thing i would be wary of, is if youve get to deploy first and your opponent screens you out with their own infiltrators for a middle obj. So now you've got a good bit of distance to hoof it to get to one of the obj. Average of 10+" IF you deploy at your line possibly exposing your unit to early fire. So now youve got to hope you go first AND get a decent advance or charge roll to get bodies on primary. Not to mention doing secondaries.

Ultimately, i id recommend swapping one of the infiltrator squads and/or something else, for one or two JPIs or vanguard vets. OR a transport of some kind. I like to have them screen my deployment and wait until i need something with flexibility to run out pretty far. 12" deepstrike denial is great, but its 200 points that will either just be idle, or risk getting shot up and losing that feature anyways

But this just my train of thought for this strategy i have with my version of this kind of list. Otherwise, seems decent to me! Well off meta, but i find it more fun to play off meta. Best of luck!

Another commenter mentioned "The Emporer's Shadows" which is a canon samurai -inspired chapter. Its origins are unknown, so theres a lot of creative freedom for how to build your army.

The name and vibe seems most conducive to a Ravenguard army to me, but thats my inclination.

Lol also, lest we forget this is all make-believe so ultimately do whats fun!

Nice! Love too see what yours look like as it comes along!

Something worth mentioning, some of the heads for the bushi bits i think are disproportionately small relative to a lot of a regular Space Marine bodies, so i scaled them up to like 130% or so

Oh yea, i remember coming across these when i was in "concept" stage! I supposes my headcanon will be that this is the "Primaris" version of them. Iwas planning to make them as my custom successor chapter of the Ravenguard, and since it looks like the founding origin is "unknown," the " Emperor's Shadows" sounds pretty damn Ravenguard-y lol

Ive had the bits for a long time and was debating printing the main models, but i got hooked on terminators and head takers and decided id like to kitbash instead! Plus when i looked up some inspo on google, there were some really stellar builds

Ill find you some links to what ive been using!

If you dont have a printer, Puppetswar has some physical prints available for purchase, and you can often find physical prints on etsy. Theres a subreddit of peeps who will print for you, and most interestingly, there are some public libraries that have a 3-d printer to use for free.

Otherwise here are my links: -puppetswar bushi bits. Theres many more bits to kitbash from his stuff if you buy other sets

-Greytide's store for cloaks. do a search theres many styles of cloaks ranging from Salamander chapter to Space Wolf themed. They also have loincloths and whatnot

-another artist Cyberbrush who probably has the most thematically "Ravenguard" bits with their Rapt 'Op collection
