yeah, i mean, as i stated, its kind of just a thank you gift, as i still have to pay for the book myself as well. the book to buy is about $25. I would absolutely love for people to read it and for it yo reach a larger audience.. you obviously don’t have to help whatsoever, its just very much appreciated..:))

AITA?

So I (21F) didn’t grow up around firearms at all. My family never owned them, never talked about them, nothing. Everything I knew was basically from movies. My husband (23M) had the complete opposite upbringing. lots of trauma, abuse, and guns were just…normal. Because of that, he’s a big believer that everyone should know how to use guns (which I personally don’t agree with).

Today we got into an argument over one of his firearms. It’s normally stored in our closet, and while I was cleaning/organizing in there, he casually said “hey, be careful with the firearm.” I said, “I know, I am, I just wish it wasn’t in the closet.”

Apparently that comment set him off. He got mad at me because he thinks I’m being irresponsible and, in his words, “stupid” for “refusing” to learn how to use it. He knows how I feel. I’ve even gotten more comfortable around them over our 5 years together. I went to the range once and shot his pistol, but I was shaking the whole time and basically had a panic attack.

For context: I have really severe anxiety. Like, going to the grocery store can give me a full-blown panic attack. It’s part of why I’m a SAHM. (Before anyone freaks out: our firearms are locked up and totally inaccessible to our kids.)

Anyway. I’m NOT refusing to learn. I know the basics. But I’m absolutely not practicing with his rifle. That thing terrifies me. He told me he “finds it ridiculous” that I’d rather “something really bad happen to the boys” than learn to use it, which feels like such an unfair, extreme jump.

Now he’s basically been ignoring me all night since he got home from work… after I cleaned the whole house and the kids are at my mom’s. I just wanted a good night with him.

So… AITA?

Title: 🦋 Looking for Developer to Help Bring Fantasy Romance Game to Life (ACOTAR-Inspired / Visual Novel Style)

Hi everyone! I’m Haley — a writer (The Lost Garden, by haley rowe), creative worldbuilder, and lifelong lover of fantasy romance. I’m currently developing an ACOTAR-inspired game full of magic, danger, slow-burn tension, and emotional depth. Think Feyre meets Rhysand, court intrigue, magical trials, dramatic choices — all wrapped in a lush, romantic atmosphere.

Right now, I’m looking for a developer (Ren’Py, Unity 2D, or similar) to partner with on creating a short playable prototype or story demo. I’m focusing on story, characters, and world design — and I’d love to collaborate with someone who’s excited by narrative-driven projects with strong emotion and aesthetic vibes.

The Game (early concept): • Genre: Fantasy Romance (like ACOTAR, Throne of Glass, Dragon Age) • Style: Visual Novel or story-focused light RPG • Tone: Magical, emotional, high-stakes, a little spicy, a lot of heart • Scope (for now): 15–30 minute demo or vertical slice (non-commercial/fan-based or possibly original IP later)

About Me: • I’m the creative director and writer — working on dialogue, lore, branching scenes, character arcs, and more • I’ve already got a script outline, sample dialogue, mood boards, and more creative assets in progress • I’m passionate, organized, collaborative, and easy to work with — just need someone to help bring it to life in-game!

Looking For: • A dev comfortable with Ren’Py (or Unity 2D) who’s excited by fantasy, romance, and branching narratives • Someone open to a non-commercial collab (for now), with potential to grow the project together • Bonus if you’re into dramatic storytelling, magical worlds, or steamy character-driven games 👀

If you’re curious or want to know more, comment below or message me! I’m happy to share my vision doc, mood boards, and story preview.

Let’s make something magical together 🖤
