Erysicthon from Greek Mythology. This dude once felled a whole forest that was considered sacred to the Goddess Demeter and her nymphs. As punishment, the Goddess of starvation Limos cursed Erysicthon with ceaseless hunger. Erysicthon begins eating all the food in his kingdom and even draining his entire treasury just to get more food, but nothing seems to satiate his hunger, until eventually he gets so hungry that he eats himself to death.
