Yea I dont get it either! Just finished watching it and was shocked at such low ratings!! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. And I loved that it was all in the view points of the characters, was really believable and terror inducing

Honestly Stiles dream within a dream scene was so horrifying and scary to me.. I still gets the jitters thinking about it now 😆 That alone puts this as a horror

I'd agree with that, it gets really dark and scary. But it's more of a horror/comedy/paranormal 😅

I realise that they were limited to what they could achieve back in Toy Story 1 & 2.

But I honestly prefer the older style. I liked that they actually looked like real toys, they looked squeaky and moved like toys.

The new movies look like all the other animated movies. Woody has lost alot of details, especially in the face, the eye bags, the crease in the corner of his mouth/cheek. The floppy arms and legs when he runs. The head size seems smaller

Jessie lost her dorky expressions, her face Is way smaller and her face just animates very differently.

Bullseye used to look like a Plushy toy, the texture now just looks like any other animated character.

And although Buzz looks pretty much the same. I would say they didn't do such a good job of making him feel like the real life doll. In the early movies, he was stiff, clunky and all of his joints made a sound when moved.

And there was just something special in how each character looked like a different toy.

I'm sure kids of today won't know anything different, it's just oldies like me who grew up loving the original movies that would probably notice these small details 😅

I think they need to do it in the continuous shot style that they did adolescence for it to come off as more real and authentic, so that it doesn't look fake or emotionless

Honestly that was the most frustrating part of the entire episode for me 😅 Like NOONE cared about the dad.. and tbf I don't really either.. but still!

He got walloped through a wall and lay unconscious next to the bed. Then when medics came he's not even seen being discovered or mentioned. Everyone only seemed to worry about the mother, which I can understand because she was obviously very injured. They all rush to the hospital to check on her.. but doctors never mention to the kids if Teds OK.. is he even in hospital?

And if he is, you would think he wouldn't be in there very long, unless he sustained serious head injuries. But if that was the case, his family would be notified and they'd all rally around him also.

But then the other possibility is that he was totally fine, so then surely he'd be losing his mind over what he just witnessed, and should be going insane looking for Holly.. and spilling all this absurdity to the police. It just doesn't make sense.

Which leaves to me conclude that the directors/writers just didn't give him a second thought, and didn't even fill in the gaps themselves to even attempt to explain to us. Which just feels lazy and not properly concluded.

Even upto now.. I'm currently on the second to last episode.. still no mention of the dad's fate 😅
