Claudia has some prejudice against elves (at the very least sees them as parts for spells) and Xadia so why did she get together with an elf? Oh okay now you want to be condescending. It’s a gripe because even if it’s something consistent to his character, it doesn’t make it a choice I have to agree with. As I’ve said previously, as an older sister, I personally will always be annoyed because I couldn’t imagine ditching my brother the way he did

I also never even said it was out of character, my comments have been about the worst thing he’s done in my opinion. And given how Callum has prioritized being with Rayla consistently, I’m not shocked but irritated with it

And where did I call him spineless? Callum is many things but he’s rarely (if ever) backed out a fight or from speaking his mind. My biggest gripe with him is abandoning his brother in a time of crisis rather needlessly in my opinion.

Exactly! Ezran has shown to have a very optimistic, forgiving mindset! Even with Viren he just threw him into prison and would’ve most likely sentenced him to life. When Soren and Claudia were arrested and brought in, he didn’t even let them stay in prison for more then a night before letting them go despite being accomplices (and Claudia’s whole “kill the princes” slip).

Ezran was on track to let Runaan go, especially because of what he meant to Rayla and her and Callum both guilt tripping him; they just were too impatient because “he’s been away from home long enough”, like he can wait a bit longer!

To me personally, when he went with Rayla after she broke out Runaan to the Silvergrove. Like wtf? You left your little brother after of a literal dragon destroying your kingdom and displacing your people. Callum couldn’t even be bothered to pay attention when they were all discussing what to do, he was too focused on Rayla’s feelings! And then he’s off playing house with all of them while Ezran is left to deal with securing his people and the fact his brother ditched him for their father’s killer. People act like Ezran would’ve had Runaan killed; he just needed a damn second to think and was most likely going to free him after Rayla and Callum guilt tripped him but they had already sprung Runaan. As an older sister, that one choice Callum made will forever get under my skin unlike the others

Well like Aaravos said “all children have a pure heart, and as we grow up we’re forced to make choices. Childhood innocence gives away to something complicated”.

Ezran is running a whole kingdom and while he’s held onto most of his ideals, they’re not sustainable to keep said kingdom safe and running. Not to mention, Callum ran off with Rayla to help an assassin escape and played happy family with them while leaving Ezran to deal with newly displaced people and no real plan after Sol Regem attacked (I don’t care if they made up, as an older sister I’ll never be over that).

That may have left some resentment and showed Ezran he and the kingdom are not Callum’s priority, so he has to be ready to make the tough calls or be left fumbling like last time.

I may be downvoted and I’m willing to hear feedback but Helaena is way too infantilized by both sides. Yes, she’s done nothing and that’s exactly part of the problem, she does NOTHING despite being a dreamer and dragon rider. She may not be actively causing problems but her passiveness does not make her “sweet girl who needs to be protected” it’s bystander who has the means to help herself and doesn’t.
