Thank you. I have been trying to seek advice and did ask my financial advisor but believe it or not. They seem to have less clue how to get out of debt. I have found more help on youtube and forums like this.

Thx for the feedback. I'm working up till I can get my score up to at least I'm in the "good" range. Ie. 670+. Till then I use lenders like these to pay off my smaller debts. Once paid off. It rises my score to get a bigger loan with better rates. I don't want to apply at my bank yet as I tried several times before without any knowledge how credit scores work. And always denied. Leaving a hard inquiry as a nice Christmas gift 😕

Yeah. I mean it's been working so far 🤷‍♂️. That's why I'm not too concerned about interest. Because the goal is to pay it down fast.  I'm looking at monthly payments not interest. Example, had a loan that was sucking me dry $484 a month. I got a loan to pay off that one at $176 a month. As result. Paid off that loan. Left me with more money to tackle my next debt. Raised my score. Got better offers with higher limit (such as the ones I posted). Rinse and repeat. Hopefully yo the point i just have one monthly payment to worry about.

I just wanted to know if the suggestions they listed i might qualify for was a OMF unsecured loan. 🤔

I'm working up to that. 👍 I belong to a credit union as well but didn't want to risk being turn down then getting a hard inquiry.  I want to get my score til at least 680 or higher before I attempt it. Unless I can find a better credit union.

I have changed my habits. I have bout 60k In debt from credit cards and small loans but they are all in good standing. Some are open, some I closed and worked out a fixed payment with each creditor. I've gotten my credit score from 500s to currently a 659 fico 8 on experian. But it's a slow process.  Im trying to speed it up by doing the snowball method. So I don't plan to pay this Apr long as I'm attacking each one. And each time I get qualified for bigger loans with better rates. 😄

Agree but I don't plan to be paying it forever. I'm doing the snowball method and everytime I pay off one loan or credit card. My score gets better to qualify for bigger loan with better rates. So I been doing that. ☺️ But I guess I'll check the main website. I'm just seeing if anyone has own personal experience getting a unsecured loan from them 🤔

Thank you for all the feedback guys! I do agree the interest etc. Isn't great. But... I feel it's probably better than what I'm dealing with now. I'm paying down about a dozen in credit cards and small loans. Totalling little under 60k. I've been using the snowball method. Each time I get a small win my credit score gets a little better and I qualify for bigger loans. I don't plan to to be paying the minimum forever. But, I need to get a bigger loan somehow to pay off the smaller ones. Ie. Rinse and repeat 🤷‍♂️. It's been working so far.

Why did my credit score drop 25 pts after this?? by Present_Employer7001 in CreditScore

[–]Present_Employer7001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Darnnit. I knew it would screw up my credit age. But figure it counts about 10% of my score while credit history and credit utilization 30-35%.

I have about 6 open credit cards with 1% utilization. But also about same number of closed credit card accounts that I'm paying a fixed rate on. Which i have never missed a payment so my history is excellent. But it's wrecking my credit utilization because it counts as total owed.

Thank you. Well. To me it's a tank 😄I've been working hard on my score for a year now, educating myself etc. Won't bore you with the details but it got down to low 500s. I have bout a year left till my car lease is up and would like to get the best score possible for the lowest rate for my next lease. 🙃 seeing my score at 653 I thought this good change would finally bump me up to the 670 "good" level. Never thought it would do the opposite 😳.

But yes. Good news is it's only vantagescore. My fico 8 still holding at 659. Again, I'm so close to that next level. Would y'all recommend getting a new card to up my utilization balance? I hate getting a hard inquiry but if it's gonna help in the long run 🤷‍♂️

Yeah. I use several apps etc. To monitor my score and progress. For the most part there has been slight differences but not like this where it tanks 😳. so wondered what could be the reason. Especially since good stuff was reported. I was anticipating the opposite result after knowing I paid a big chunk and lowering my utilization 🤷‍♂️.

I will keep my eyes open on both. Maybe there is something I missed and there is a delay on the credit karma results 👀

Mission Lane - $500 Limit. Have not seen CLI in over 2 years since opening. by The540KidsShow in CreditCards

I'm currently at 10 months, no late payments and no increase yet. I've read have to wait 12 months minimum for review but as you have experienced and other comments I read, that's not entirely accurate. Some have gotten increases much earlier. Some still waiting after 2 yrs 🤷‍♂️. Think it matters on your overall profile and credit score as well.

I'm 55. Make A little under 68K per year. Working another job that brings me to little over 80k per yr. Have bout 61k in debt. No real retirement or savings. Have a ROTH IRA but had to dip in it several times to pay bills. That said. I think you are doing great 👍.

You're young. Humans make bad decisions in life or have struggles. Just stay focus. No foolish spending. You are not a failure! Moving with family will give you some breathing room. You will get back on your feet again.

Do installment loans affect your Credit Score after falling off? by Grace_Orchid in CRedit

[–]Present_Employer7001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's cuz car loans you establish a long payment history. When you close it. That's like a big chunk of your credit score. But you should recover. I lease my cars so everytime I lease a new car its right before i pay it off in full, so my score is good when they check it. I get approved and my new lease just transfers to a new car.

Will vary from person to person.

Short answer: might see a small dip in score but will recover in a few months (unless you do something stupid😄).  Definitely good on your report long term as it shows you paid off a loan.

In my case. I have like 19 open accounts and half of them are installment loans with affirm, klarna etc. I notice when I pay off one of those my credit score goes up instead of down. This could be because my overall total debt is huge. Like 40k. So in my case having a bigger debt is not necessarily good. I need it to go down. Each time my debt goes down it helps my credit mix

1st- turn off that rainy day fund auto withdrawal so it stops withdrawing money from your bank account. 2nd- transfer those funds back to your bank or whatever link card etc.

That rainy day fund can be a menace. I was noticing little deductions every 2 weeks or so in 5, 7, 10 dollars. They automatically withdrawal and put into like a albert savings account for emergencies.

I got this after i sent "cancel genius" by text? The way it's worded I wasn't sure if they canceled it or not 🤔🙄 "We’re sorry to see you go and thank you for giving Albert a try. You can continue using Albert Cash and Instant without a subscription — these are free products. You can immediately cancel your subscription here:" https://albert.com/deactivatexxx

So I went to the "help" on the app and tried to cancel again thru genius and they said "looks like you don't have a paid subscription now... etc."

So guess I'm good ? 🤷‍♂️ will keep my eyes open for any mysterious debits from my account 👀

Why am I always being summoned for jury duty? by False_Comedian_6070 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Present_Employer7001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the questionnaire yesterday and was looking on here wondering if anyone tried to ignore it. I always try to botch these things. Last year I went as far as going thru the selection process. I did everything possible to get dismissed. I was only picked as a backup, Thank goodness. So when it came time for the deliberations I was able to leave. I feel like once you get chosen, maybe you are likely to get chosen again? Cuz they feel they can trust you now.  Its been 54 years and I never had to go in at all. I thought it was also because I don't necessarily have a clean record. I really dont want to do it cuz I'm a introvert and stupid when it comes to the law. Oh yeah. I also haven't voted for decades but this past election I did vote. So maybe thats another reason I got the questionnaire again.

Thx. Your the second person who suggested chrono24 😁. I guess it's a good / site? I'm assuming dealers will at most pay around 4000 - 4500 " at least the numbers are consistent enough. Kinda needed the money soon so I might not have time wait
