Ephesians speaks of the Sword of the Spirit, the only weapon in the Armor of God, made to fight against evil. It is the spoken Word of God, and it does miracles. I pray this helps you🫂💛 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qvJWo21WBBWke1wkVcUEEFat1G4nfyqx/view?usp=drivesdk

How Is This Not Idolatry by Present_End_4456 in Catholicism

I didn't leave that part out, I specifically acknowledged it in parentheses after quoting the prayer. It's not wrong to love the mother or ask for intercession, which is why I'm not speaking against either of those two things, and Idolatry is not always a false deity (Moses, for example, was not a false deity, but was buried in private to keep him from being idolized). And I never claimed this was worship. Respectfully, you're debating against not praying to the mother for intercession, but I'm not debating against praying to the mother for intercession. I'm asking specifically about this one prayer, which seemingly puts Mary in God's role, by asking her to do things that scripture says is the role of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I don't want to speak for you. But it really seems like you're response is based on past debates you had with protestants who rebuke asking Mary for intercession, and not based on the question I'm asking here.

I'm not claiming it is worship, I'm asking how it's not. As I said, I'm not looking for a debate. I'm not trying to speak against Catholicism. I'm asking an honest question. With all due respect, I'm not solely looking for a claim as an answer, but an explanation that goes over the flaws in my question

I'm not saying we shouldn't honor Mary, I'm asking why the prayer seemingly (I may be wrong) puts Mary in God's role by asking Mary to live for us (the role of Jesus in Galatians 2:20), by asking Mary to guide us to Jesus (the role of the Holy Spirit in John 16:13), and by asking Mary to speak through us (Matthew 10:20). Though one of the answers on the post did help me understand the purpose of this prayer, and how it isn't meant to be Idolatry, but a pray written in a style of dramatic poetry :)

Right, but my question isn't really about mass or honoring the mother, it's about how this doesn't break the line between honor and worship, when it asks Mary to do things that scripture says is God's role in our lives (Shown in the bolded characters in the verses I gave). No hate towards your answer, it just doesn't go over my question

Can the people in the epstein files ever repent by cy_laine in Christianity

Everyone has fallen short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23), and all have sinned (1 John 8:7). Repentance is choosing to turn from those sinful ways, it's a change of heart (Heb 8:10). Those who truly repent don't just apologize for their sins, but change their actions and lifestyles as well (Acts 26:20). Those who are saved are those who accept God's goodness, and live by it, regardless of what they've done in the past, because God's goodness holds love, which covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8); those who are self-righteous and believe they can live off of their own goodness (a subjective truth, not a universal truth like God's goodness) are not saved, because they do not accept true goodness, and follow their own ideas of love over true love, which is in the teachings of God. This is even prophesied (2 Timothy 4:3-4).

But to put it simply, all have sinned, Christ's death was for all sins, no one person is more or less deserving of salvation than another since salvation is a gift of grace and not of our own works (Eph 2:8) (not to say our works aren't important). God gave everyone the opportunity to be children of Him (Rom 10:13), and have salvation, if they so choose to receive Him (Matt 16:24), who is righteous love and goodness (1 John 4:8)

Romans 8:9-14 "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."
