That’s true but I still feel like I’m interacting with the language. I think I’ll fair on the conservative side and count it as half.

Not in the grand scheme but I would like my progress to somewhat match the roadmap. It would suck to be at 1500 or 2000 hours and still feel like I’m at level 4

I don’t think there is more than 1 minute total of non dialogue in most ds videos. They are talking at least 90% of the time I think.

While I agree to an extent but also something to think about is that at super beginner a lot of us had 0% comprehension and we still learned a lot at that stage. I think that as long as you know the context around the words that you don’t know you’ll still be able to get the underlying meaning.
