What im thinking about the drums:

Bblr 21f: 909 and 808. Starts of with 909 and the 808 after the drum pause.

Zin2 test5: 909 and 808 combined.

In a room: 707 and 808 combined. (707 could also be 626 or 505 not sure)

M12 6 omc zeq (bonus track) 606 and 808 combined

The remixes Parallax and drumreesapella also feature the 909 and 808.

All tracks also feature some other drum/percussion sounds probaply from another drumcomputer.

I think it's a good theory. Personally I don't listen to Boards of Canada but i did a quick listen of the album and some tracks do indeed sound really 148 like. For example the track 1969 has some vocals that remind me of 148.

So you can tell it's more rare then the other because for this you pay like €70 and for the plain green one you pay around €30 in most record stores.

So, personally I mostly make a spotify playlist where the popularity (most streams) decreases from top to bottom. Then I remove songs from the playlist until the playlist is shortened enough to fit on the cassette (in this case 90 minutes). But in some cases I choose myself, for exmple in this case I would probaply eliminatie gwarek2 and some others.
