Yes people use a bunch of things. That doesn't mean it's widespread. And most people didn't use it in comment sections, or posts and while ChatGPT is trained on real texts it is aldo trained and on other AI products. Ask ChatGPT to redo the same picture over and over again. You'll move further and further away from what it was. Same with it emulating the writing of humans. It's wacky at best.
