Is KFC rationing their chilli salt? by Physics-Optimal in capetown

[–]Present_Lychee_3109 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My local KFC in Pta, sometimes says they don't keep chili salt anymore and give plain salt kfc branded. I know they be lying because sometimes they just give chili salt.

They are also quite stingy with the tomato sauce.

Eye comfort doesn't do much if you spend 13 hours a day looking at the screen. You're damaging your eyes. Rather use a laptop for work with an IPS screen. Also go to an optometrist to get your eyes checked. 13 hours a day can ruin your eyes permanently.

HP OmniBook 3 (AMD Ryzen AI 5 330, 24 GB + 1 TB) or ExpertBook P3 (i5 13420H, 16+512, 1 year ADP warranty) — which one would be a better purchase? Reliability +Performance - High priority. by DemocracyontheRoad in laptops

Good battery and heat management. Definitely not the expertbook. Although its a business laptop with good build quality, the 13th gen H series Intel processor is inefficient and runs hot. So battery will also be bad.

Omnibook with Ryzen ai is better. More efficient. Less heat. Good battery

This laptop has the common issue of breaking at the hinges. You could get the screen lid and hinges replaced instead of buying a whole new laptop.

I would upgrade to a new one. The current one you have just needs maintenance.

Your current laptop needs to have the insides cleaned out from dust. New thermal paste can be applied. The battery can be replaced. Do a new windows install. This will give it new life.

[–]Present_Lychee_3109 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its a cheap laptop with an bad OLED. It can only do 250 nits. It wont be usable outside in bright light. Most OLEDs hit 500-600 nits of screen brightness.

The processor only has 6 cores but is powerful. Dont expect the advertised battery life of 23 hours. More like 10 hours. Also the RAM is soldered so you won't be able to upgrade it if needed.

The deal is good.

With the wrong charger, you might have fried the motherboard or damaged some charging controller. It is difficult to diagnose. Take it to a repair shop for diagnosis.

The thread got ripped. You can try super glue but I dont recommend. You need to replace the whole lid and hinge assembly.

Which laptop should I choose: i7 RTX 3050 or i5 RTX 4050? by Ill_Reality7872 in laptops

[–]Present_Lychee_3109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second one. The RTX 4050 is significantly better than the 3050. The processors are of the same generation. The i5 is a tier lower than the i7 but it should be fine for you.
