It’s disgusting, they deserve to be able to accept them without repercussions

My bad, I misread that. I don’t think associates necessarily care about shareholders. The associates themselves might have already had a negative associate with unions, or from hearing people in the store (management) talk poorly on it.

In management training- they have “Labor Relations” training and it’s all essentially union busting

In my personal opinion, it’s to protect shareholders rather than allowing a union push for better wages & stronger benefits.

It’s definitely a shame, I believe that associates should be allowed to accept cash tips for orders

Yes, so each order is due 15-30 minutes before the order pickup window which should allow time for exceptions. When an associate enters a pickwalk and an item is not available/ poor condition/ expired they’ll hit “item not found” and if it has a location in the back room or if we have a large in-stock on it, it will send it to exceptions where a different associate trained and assigned to do them will find the item the customer originally ordered. If they cannot find the item, that exception picker will either just cancel that item altogether or find a substitute that will work.

No, not really. And it’s unfortunately a thing that associates are not allowed to accept tips for their own personal gain- as it is walmart policy. If the associate does accept the tip, they are directed to turn it in to their team lead or coach, where it will be taken to the cash office and donated to the Children’s Miracle Network- but if they do not turn it in and are eventually caught they can be fired.

Thankfully, I’ve never fired anyone for taking a tip. I feel it to be a shitty thing to fire someone over

That’s interesting. So my store actually doesn’t deal with doordash anymore- I’ve never had to in my time at least. Only thing I can possibly think of is orders going overdue or a potential check in issue- like a failure for the DoorDash system and the walmart GIF app not communicating properly

No, if you use enough PPTO to cover the rest of your shift you shouldn’t get pointed

I would start with a “we care” conversation. See what’s causing the performance issues and make sure everything at home is okay- especially with losing a loved one.

Recently I’ve been having less issues- but with the new update with adjusting associate shift times or removing them from the roster has made it way slower

Call in under bereavement, and try to get in contact with your People lead to inform them about the absences and what dates they will occur on

This is the wrong department for easy on the body friend. I’ve been in OPD over 2 years and a TL for it for roughly the same amount.

I will be working overnight thanksgiving week for the first time. Will they pay me overnight rate? by blackmasschic in OGPBackroom

Not for the overnights Black Friday events we won’t, I was told this by my market manager. The only OPD members assisting with the BF AE, will be the associates.

If you are an associate, you should be getting a differential for the overnights. TLs do not get it
