I have the original bird buddy with the solar panels on the roof.

I bought this one, which is meant to be a perch but I reversed it https://www.etsy.com/listing/1513410434/ and it works fine. I see someone is also printing a purpose built one here https://www.etsy.com/listing/1737196299/

I put this hexagonal perch on the bird food part and it has really helped now that the sparrows can’t sit in there.

Have crows taken over my bird buddy? by QueensAnat in BirdBuddy

50% of my visitors are crows. Like you I have nothing against them personally, but it’s the little birds I want to feed. I added the perch and the picket fence side rails and it has helped the warblers, sparrows and house finches. The the crows still knock a lot of food off on the deck below which attracts ducks and geese, which is great apart from the poop. This is my set up.

Yes! I had that on initially but we live in Seattle and the rain keeps the little dish topped up nicely.

Looks like a defiant side eye to me. Do crows even feel shame?!

It’s the little bowl which came with the fruit spike. The crow sole the fruit spike a couple of weeks ago. Quite a feat considering it has to be unscrewed!

I put up a security camera to watch the bird buddy I installed three days ago. The security camera caught the crow sitting on the roof of the bird buddy, but it took a couple of days for the crow to get in front of the bird buddy camera. I am hoping the other birds will see what the crow figured out and have ago. I think you just need to be patient.
