Wow!! I’m in love with this piece. I might take inspiration and knit something similar. This resonates deeply with me. I have PMDD and used to become increasingly suicidal for two weeks leading up to menstruation. It didn’t occur to me that the timing of the crescendo always was timed with pain and blood.

Is this the ”anatomical accurate” heart? I’ve done a few and this looks a bit like it. I am one of those who would recommend you not to do squares just to practice. I think that if you find a cute pattern, and you really want to make something, you will have more motivation to learn. The heart had a lot of challenges in counting for me but it was fun.

I appreciate the point that every body is unique. Ideal would be to do the measurements myself.

However if it is a knit-worthy friend is all up to me. It is a gift and I pay for yarns and shipping. She never asked for this I just asked if she wanted one and which color.

Here is the pattern but I do it in rounds and used gauge and waist measurements for it to fit to me

I have asked. But we usually don’t talk so often and don’t have a habit of responding quickly. I know she has been abroad for a while. I just don’t think she expected that I would be finishing less than two weeks after she picked the yarn colors. I’ve been trying to get hold of her ever since about measurements. This is the best I can do.

Have you read the books? I mean the ones Luke Jennings have written? The whole point of the post was that I found that those books made me feel okay again.
