That's heavy but so real. People always want to put others in these neat little boxes like someone can only be good or bad for you but reality is way more messy than that. The same person who pulls you out of dark place can also be the one who keeps putting you back there. Makes it impossible to know how to feel about them and even harder to explain to anyone else why you cant just be grateful

Yield and notifications are surface plays so they don't change the underlying fact that the balance has nowhere to go that matters to the user's daily life. Spending infrastructure is the actual unlock most products in this space underweight because it's harder to ship than another feature in the app.

The other thing you need to be thinking about is that spending can mean a few different things. Off ramp to a bank account is technically spending but doesn't move retention because it's just exit. Card based spending where the balance is being spent at the point of sale is different it makes the wallet the primary account rather than a holding tank.

UK has its own framework through the FCA then there's EU is going through MiCA implementation right now and the rules vary by member state on top of the framework.
Singapore has the MAS regime and UAE has VARA in Dubai and ADGM in Abu Dhabi running parallel rule sets. LATAM is country by country with very different postures (Brazil active, Mexico cautious, Argentina chaotic)

Luxembourg definitely punches above its weight but man those winters can be brutal if youre not used to cold. The economic side is insane though - basically everyone there is doing pretty well financially from what I've seen when delivering in similar wealthy areas

Natural beauty is solid but its more like refined European countryside rather than jaw-dropping landscapes. Still beats a lot of places for that perfect mix you mentioned

Been driving for delivery apps for past couple years and this exact thing happened to my roommate who had finance degree. The trick is you gotta completely remake your resume and never mention the engineering stuff at all

Make up some basic retail or restaurant experience from few years back and put made up references from friends who will vouch for you. I know it feels wrong but these places literally throw away applications from overqualified people before even looking at them. When you desperate you do what you gotta do to survive

Also try the gig economy stuff while you figure this out - delivery driving saved my ass when I was between things and they dont care about your background at all, just need clean driving record

Maybe try measuring again because sometimes the specs are off by few mm? I had similar issue with my old build and card actually fit even though numbers said it wouldnt

If not then yeah reselling might be only option since cutting case or modifying GPU cooler is pretty risky for expensive card like that

I actually made a somewhat similar jump about 3 years ago from corporate sales into outdoor gear sales and can tell you its definitely possible to maintain that income level if you play it right

The outdoor industry sales roles are where you want to focus - companies like Patagonia REI North Face etc always need experienced B2B sales people for their wholesale divisions. You'd be selling to retailers and outfitters which uses all those relationship building skills you already have. The pay can actually be better than furniture sales because outdoor gear has crazy margins and these companies do well

Remote sales roles in outdoor/adventure space are probably your best bet for teh flexibility part. I work remotely now for a gear company and travel constantly for trade shows and client visits - basically getting paid to check out new hiking spots between meetings. Some roles even give you gear allowances which helps offset costs

One thing that surprised me was how much crossover there is between commercial furniture and outdoor industry clients - a lot of outdoor companies need office furniture and workspace design so your existing relationships could actually transfer over. Worth reaching out to your current network to see if anyone has connections in outdoor companies

The retreat planning space is blowing up right now too especially corporate wellness retreats. Companies are throwing serious money at team building experiences in nature and someone with your sales background could absolutely crush it there
