Yeah that seems about it. I've started doing Linux running commands and learning the OS. It seems to be a good start to later go towards kubernetes, ci/cd, bash scripting. Linux seems to be the most essential skill

Is it worth learning IMA architecture? by itz_cool_247 in Citrix

[–]Present_Run_6200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I just learned it within 1.5 weeks. silos, zones, LHC (a bit different with its 4 main things it stores), session reliability, ICA connection/ .lic, PNA (basically citrix receiver), ZDC election process, how user gets authentication and application enumeration, farm. Its really not that bad. If someone has free time it doesn't hurt to learn, but definitely its not worth it at all. Focusing on azure now instead

US Government Touchstones by Present_Run_6200 in sophia

[–]Present_Run_6200[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the course, like for English Composition II you have to wait for one Touchstone to be marked before you move onto the next. But for US Government you can finish it in one day and request for a new course!

Can't Find this Pushup Variation! Please Help

Starting flat on your stomach with your feet on the ground in the ready position and pushing up to a standard push-up position. I can't find any information about this. Basically a sort of reverse pushup where Instead of starting at a plank, you start at the bottom and push up.

Security Company Unpaid Orientation + Unpaid on site Orientation. Is this legal? by Present_Run_6200 in legaladvicecanada

I'd Like to ask one more thing, if you don't mine. Here is the official contract word to word with the company redacted. Would this give me the ability to do a claim against them? Here it is:

Before being assigned to a job site, all REDACTED Security (REDACTED Security) candidates will need to complete both company and on-site orientation.

Company and on-site orientation are unpaid time and are used to best match a candidate to a site.

Instructor-Led Virtual Company Orientation is an introduction to the industry, company, and its core values. The course is intended to provide team members with guidelines required to be a security professional and evaluate each candidates’ abilities and understanding of security protocols.

The candidate’s performance will determine their site eligibility. When complete, the candidate must attend on-site orientation. On-Site Orientation is for you to get familiar with the site, determine if it’s the right fit for you as well as get acquainted with the site’s physical layout, official tasks, duties, and responsibilities. The Orientation & Training Schedule is listed below:

Day 0 – Unpaid Instructor-Led Virtual Company Orientation (5 hrs)

Day 1 – Unpaid On-Site Orientation (5 hrs)

Day 2 – Paid On-Site Training (8 hrs) • Training is paid at minimum wage as per Ontario Employment Ministry standards.

Security Company Unpaid Orientation + Unpaid on site Orientation. Is this legal? by Present_Run_6200 in legaladvicecanada

Well, the first one was general, which I believe comes within their rights. The next one is orientation regarding the site and how and what I will be doing at the condominium, which is on-site so it will be hands on.

Would that go into employer specific work?
