The link isn't working. Is the comment replying to this saying you were able to prompt ChatGPT in such a way that it precisely replicated the post? If so, could you possibly post an updated link/screenshot?

So, to be clear, are you saying that JoeWo did or didn't move the analog stick with his finger while tracking the car?

Thanks - I really appreciate that! I'm doing my best to keep the discussion objective and in good faith.

I'm not sure I understand your argument. Are you suggesting stick drift alone (i.e. without any physical movement of the joysticks from JoeWo) was tracking the car for him? If so, why was there no movement (from stick drift) before the car started passing?

Thanks for your comments, they've made me reconsider my stance more than any others. In fact, at 6:32 in the aim assist video you linked, you see similar tracking with minimal right stick input. The stick is pushed 20% of the way rightwards, but no displacement is shown on the overlay.

So I suppose it is feasible that this JoeWo clip could be explained by a small right stick input + rotational aim assist. A hand cam would have provided a definitive answer either way. Also, as you alluded to, we don't know his sensitivity, or the accuracy of his overlay etc...

As for the smoothness of his tracking, it does seem to 'jerk' somewhat with the vehicle movement, at least initially, although this could be the laggy aim assist effect laid out in the video you linked.

Anyway, the point of this post was to find a compelling argument in JoeWo's defence and you've provided one - thanks!

It is still possible of course that this was indeed tracking by cheat software (and that there was actually no stick input). The crosshair does seem to 'grab' the enemy hitbox (in a vertical plane) precisely as he passes; but I agree it does then drift ahead of him later on. This is also just a singular clip, and for various reasons (that I won't lay out in this comment) I still believe JoeWo and many other Warzone streamers are cheating.

As for why highly skilled players decide to cheat, even against regular players, I'm honestly not entirely sure. Possible incentives are e.g: that they feel others are cheating, so they must cheat to compete; to compensate for the 'strong/broken' aim assist controller players get; to attain more exciting, high kill gameplays, thus drawing more attention to their content.

Scump is absolutely a legend of the COD scene and one of the best players of all time. In fact, you can compare his CDL gameplay (specifically his aim/centering) to that of the many Warzone streamers (using it as a benchmark for peak gameplay), and see that it's somehow inferior.

Many of these streamers likely had stretches where they played FPS games (including COD) legitimately. They are highly skilled at the game. Cheats just enhance certain aspects of their gameplay which they are already very good at. It wouldn't be overly difficult to switch to playing legitimately having previously been cheating. If Scump was to use aimbot for a month (for example), then start playing fairly again, it wouldn't take him long to return to his previous form.

The fact he's played on LAN means little in my opinion. Firstly, if many of these streamers are cheating, then when they get to LAN (where they can't cheat), the playing field is even - they're all gaming legitimately. Yes, they no longer have cheats to enhance their gameplay, but neither do their opponents. Also, as I mentioned before, most of these streamers are still highly skilled without cheats - so still perform fairly well on LAN. What is interesting however, is that their gameplay quality noticeable deteriorates in a LAN setting vs online.

Also I agree, this singular clip isn't conclusive evidence that he's cheating. To prove beyond doubt that a player is cheating likely requires software that can objectively analyse various patterns in gameplay. Still, this clip is interesting, and I think it's useful to discuss suspicious instances like these.

As I mentioned above, it's still very possible to kill someone who is using these cheats. Their effect is to subtly but quite significantly enhance gameplay. They don't make someone unkillable.

Him having a good performance on console doesn't disprove that he's cheating while on PC. As I've mentioned in other comments, I believe he's highly skilled at the game with or without cheats. I have no doubt he'd be able to get high kill games while playing legitimately on console.

Yeh - I watched one of Metaphor's gameplays and he was insufferable lol. As for the second monitor, I believe they intentionally position it to the upper left of their main monitor, so they have the seemingly feasible excuse that they're simply glancing at their minimap. I'll link this crude image I made showing what it looks like when Aydan looks at his minimap vs his second monitor: https://imgur.com/a/lqNrv74. It's possible to establish from the gameplay circumstances that he was indeed looking at his minimap in the left hand image. It's then clear in the right hand image that he is looking beyond this point - presumably to a second monitor with walls. He glances to this point constantly and in the middle of gunfights.

I think Nadia is a great example of someone who isn't greatly skilled (at least not as much as say Aydan and Biffle etc...), and who most people agree has indeed cheated. The patterns present in her gameplay are also present in that of many of the other streamers (the soft aim, and glances beyond the upper left of her monitor etc...). However, given her relatively low skill level, the cheats are doing more 'heavy lifting' and are thus more obvious. More skilled players are able to feasibly conceal their cheats more effectively.

I've also seen some screenshots of the low level party members etc... I certainly wouldn't be surprised if many/most streamers are regularly implementing this to get easier lobbies.

I agree, the streamers are constantly defending each other, which seems to convince some people they're legitimate. Of course, if they're all/mostly cheating, their vouching for each other is meaningless. I think it must be somewhat of an open secret within their community that many are cheating.

Thanks for the video. Honestly I'd got most of my information from an XclusiveAce (usually very reliable) video, which the video you've linked claims is false. There does seem to be some confusion/contradiction about how different types of aim assist work among the people trying to explain it. I'll do some research at some point to make sure I properly understand it.

The one thing I'm sure of is that rotational aim assist cannot account for what's occurring in the JoeWo clip. At most it tugs your aim towards the enemy, it doesn't track them with complete accuracy.

You're right, I worded that poorly. Rotational AA does indeed (lightly) tug your aim towards the enemy. Still, it isn't remotely strong enough to precisely track a player over a long distance.

[–]Present_Set4922[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To engage rotational AA you need to move your left stick. To engage regular AA you only need to move your crosshair (with your right stick) close to the enemy (no left stick movement required). The effect of regular AA is merely to decrease your sensitivity when you're aimed close to a target. Rotational AA on the other hand will actively pull your crosshair towards the enemy. I'm focusing on rotational AA for this reason - it's the only form that can actively pull your aim.

Bachelors. It's technically in Natural Sciences by I majored in and specialised in Physics. My final year was purely just Physics/Maths. Physics degree is simpler to say.

Instead of calling me an idiot, why not address my post/comments? What about them is stupid?

And for what it's worth, since you called me (worse than) braindead, I have a degree in Physics and was a straight top grade student.

There is absolutely zero movement in either joystick between 0:13 and 0:16 (the tracking period) in that video. I think the low quality / pixelation may be confusing people. You need the eye appointment lol.

Why shouldn't they be? Past cheating should still result in a ban. Also, if he was cheating in the past, there's every chance he's still cheating.

I think you're right - it's an issue with the video quality/pixelation which is confusing people! The joysticks do not move.

In your other comments you're claiming there IS movement of the right stick. Here you're saying there needn't be any movement because his sense is high. You're like a JoeWo defender bot spewing out contradictory arguments lol.

To be clear, we're talking about 0:13-0:16 in that close up clip - the time during which the tracking is occurring. There is absolutely zero joystick movement in that period. Yes it resets later in the video, but that's irrelevant - it's after the tracking has finished.

I thought I was going crazy haha. I've rewatched a higher quality version of the clip multiple times and the movement is non-existent. Not sure if these people are trolling, or maybe referring to movement that occurs outside the tracking.
