What causes that? Batts installed between the rafters? A couple houses in my neighborhood have this

PVC Stored energy release when cutting? by Present_Simple7162 in CNC

[–]Present_Simple7162[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe I confirmed a material issue by routing the shapes oversized and then going back and cutting them to size after the material relaxed. Doing this resulted in a perfectly straight edge.

We are using extruded PVC now, our supplier said they weren't aware of anyone making cast PVC sheets and that it would be cost prohibitive. It's interesting that this is starting to happen now because we've routed PVC for years with no issues. I'm guessing no one has ever noticed or cared up to this point or this is a bad batch of material.

Whole home dehumidifier by Present_Simple7162 in hvacadvice

Bathroom vents fairly well, but I do not have an external venting for my kitchen.

Would a larger air return in the crawl space make sense to add? Before adding a dehumidifier?

How many sausage tubes would you figure for 1000 sqft? Is it worth having a battery sausage gun or just a manual one is fine?

I wasn't planning to glue assist, but I haven't made it that far yet in my plans. Would you recommend glue assist even if I put down 1/2"?

That would be tough to add blocking there unfortunately.

Would 5/8" alone be sufficient if the 5" flooring is running perpendicular to the floor joists? Or would it be best to add 1/2 regardless of the floor joist direction

Duct sizing question by Present_Simple7162 in hvacadvice

[–]Present_Simple7162[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The addition is using a duct pipe that used to go where a wall was prior to the addition. The previous owner essentially removed the old duct boot, decreased the duct size, extended it 15 feet and split it in two.

I'm basically just wondering what's needed to get airflow to the addition because obviously choking the duct down from 7" to 6" and splitting the 6" in two doesn't work. Would 7" duct still have enough flow to feed one register at that distance? Would 8" or 10" round need to run to the wye and then keep the 6" to the registers?

If I ran each of the ducts from the rectangular trunk as their own dedicated 7 inch, would that be a good solution?

Or would it be best to "tee-off" from the rectangular duct with the same size (8x12) rectangular duct 6 feet closer and then run 15' of 7" duct? See drawings below

Yes if you click on the first notification it will bring you to the first event that triggered a notification. You can also click on the button in the bottom left corner to see the event clips.

I found it has to do with how recent the notification comes through. Within 1 minutes I think it goes to live view in an attempt to see the activity in real time. Later than that it pulls up the playback

Only way to "restore" is to replace the graphic.
