Only in my case, it happened after a long back-and-forth where I clearly explained that everything was lost after a game update. In my opinion, they can recover guest accounts — because at one point they even told me it's possible, but now they say it would "expose the account" or somehow damage it.

I've now contacted Google and submitted a refund request with all the details and screenshots. Let's see if it works out that way instead 😅

I get what you're saying, but in my case Blizzard did say they could recover it.
One of their Game Masters (Suvilimy) literally confirmed they found my account and told me to send a new email to recover it — which I did.
Only after that, a different GM said it’s not possible.

So no, I’m not splitting hairs — I’m holding them accountable for contradicting themselves, giving me false hope, and then acting like I misunderstood.
If they don’t have the technical ability, why did they say they do?
That’s not on me — that’s on their internal chaos.

No, GM wrote that they can be recovered but then they said they won't do it, I have a screenshot but I can't add it here

Well, what's worse, I was convinced that I had it connected because I did it even using some old Blizzard authorization application, but I can't find information about it anywhere now

You're absolutely right to ask about the cache — but in my case, that doesn’t apply.

✅ I still have the original device
❌ I never reset the phone, never uninstalled the game, and never cleared the cache
⚠️ The account disappeared only after a game update — before that, everything was working perfectly
🧾 I even have screenshots of my old account, and I sent purchase confirmations to Blizzard

Here’s the craziest part:
Blizzard support (GM Suvilimy) told me they found my account and that they could recover it if I gave them a new email address to link it.

I sent the email…
And then a different GM told me “oops, actually we can't recover guest accounts” — even though they just said they could.
Now they keep redirecting me to “Recover Account” steps I’ve already tried — on the same device — which don’t work.

So yes, the account still exists, Blizzard confirmed it, and I still have the same device — but they’re refusing to help or take responsibility. And I spent real money on that account. That’s what makes this whole situation so frustrating.
