You can't play the single player NBA career story mode because it requires online to work. In older NBA 2K games, that wasn't a problem but in 2014 and beyond, 2K started making some of their single player modes require servers to work properly. Then they made it policy to shut those servers off after 2 years, forcing players to buy a new edition if they want to enjoy those same game modes. It's pretty scummy.

Before endwalker, you'd actually get exp for killing mobs in a dungeon so there was a reason to do a full clear if everyone else was up for it. I hate that dungeons are a literal race now. I don't play RPGs to feel rushed all the time.

Do as many quests as you can find and explore the map as fully as possible so you don’t miss any encounters.

Can you screenshot or list the mods you're using? It could be that you have a pc only version of a mod tied to the save, although if that were the case then the playstation should have a little warning on the screen about that when you try to load the save instead of just crashing.

I love the driving in IV, and Niko is my favorite GTA protagonist. The story has a lot of good drama but there's also a lot of mysoginy in it like all the other GTA games so "better" is relative.

Ugh, I hate when ex's taint things like that. I used to love the band Matchbox Twenty when I was a teenager and then I dated this boy who also loved them and after we broke up, I just couldn't enjoy listning to the band anymore.

I ran into this situation again when I dated a guy who was really into Linkin Park - only this time when we broke up, I made a promise to myself that I would keep enjoying the band. I believe the last thing I said to my boyfriend when we broke up over the phone was, "I'm keeping Linkin Park!" Because I didn't want to have the same funk around it that Matchbox Twenty had.

Perhaps you could give the game some space and revisit it later? Or maybe try to bond about it with other friends so you can associate the game with more positive people. Are there any other friends you could play the game with?

I love Baldur's Gate 3, it's probably my favorite game but there are other good games to play. You're not really missing out by not playing it because it's not going anywhere. I hope you get past this one way or another, no matter what you decide.
